Can good speakers take edge off digital?
A few years ago I found a cdp that allowed me to enjoy my cds thoroughly; a Resolution Audio CD-50. This player is way outdated by today's standards but it is smoother and more relaxing than any player I've heard. After owning the CD-50 for a year...
Can you point me to CDs with awesome stage?
Amused To Death is recorded with Q sound, a process designed to expand the soundstage. The only cd I know of is with Q sound is "The Soul Cages" by Sting. There are threads here with lists of recordings made with this process.

I recently received a pair of 12L2s and don't find any glare with digital source. These things sound absolutely wonderful for the price.Look at your digital source if you want a smoother sound.
Locking RCA Cable = Problem with RCA input jack
You damaged something in there. It depends on how the RCA jacks are connected to the preamp board as to what kind of damage. If they are hard mounted to the board the damage is potentially worse than if they are the kind that are bolted to the cab...

Listening chair suck-out
I had the same problem with a high-backed leather chair so I opted for a low-back chair with excellent results. To get clarity in the higher chair I needed to sit up straight to get my ears above the chair back. No more muddled sound and I don't f...

If your system were of sufficiently high resolution you would hear a change when you blink an eye :-)Eldartford, do you mean the hearing system or the stereo system?
Come Play The Audiophile Genie Game
Six rooms full of gear? I'd have trouble figuring out gear for more than two rooms. I guess I'm not a big dreamer.
bi wire question
As stated earlier there are many opinions on the benefits of biwiring so here's mine. Get a set of biwire cables as Blindjim suggests and try it. I have several sets of biwire cables and use them when applicable. Adding another amp would be bi-amp...
