Why are you so interested in an amp having the fastest slew rate? There is much more to a great sounding amp than slew rate.

If the integrated amp has L-R amp-in jacks to accommodate a preamp, then yes.

I would HIGHLY recommend you consider auditioning a well-brokin-in pair of the Analysis Plus Solo Crystal Oval ICs and spkr cables! You can purchase them and be well within your budget.

re: legacy Focus 20-20
I would go for the 20/20. There have been some very reasonable deals in the recent past here on Agon for the 20/20. Keep your eyes peeled.
