Coda CP pre-amp vs Rogue Athena Magnum vs ARC LS-12 .Need information
@sunnyjim Hey Jim,  after Cerrot posted the Innersound,  it reminded me of this.... The newest Sanders is essentially a CP and I knew of a review on that... I hope this contributes,  Tim http://www.dagogo.com/sanders-preamplifier-review
Outboard crossover? Why not?
Thanks Eric,  if you ever get the chance to play with a mini dsp hd,  give it a try. experiment with frequency, slopes, time delay, all of it...Appreciate you brother, Tim

Jim,  Not to steer you away from the Coda,  I haven't heard its phono, but its a nice neutral preamp.  The point that I'd like to make is that for  the Pre's without a phono,  there are very nice phono sections out there.  Graham Slee comes to min...
Outboard crossover? Why not?
@erik_squires   Active vs. passive is not as easy as saying one is better. There's always trade offs. Hi Erik, I agree that a competent crossover designer can come up with a very good speaker and yes better than a crappy electronic crossover and a...

Jim,  there is a Muse Model 3 Signature on ebay right now at $950, plus exorbitant  shipping cost... This is a very nice pre also... Definitely worth adding this to your list.

Hi Jim, I've heard the LS9,  It had a low gain and was a bit temperamental matching, but when properly matched it was very good indeed.  From what I've read about the LS12, it will be very good. The Rogue has a good reputation. The last time that ...

Integrated Amp recommendation for $300 that will balance well with Vandersteen and NAD
Yes, $300 is tough, personally, id recommend to try to save to more like $500 and look at the likes of an Audio Refinement or a Myriad,  both can be had at that price and both are clearly Audiophile material... If not,  Teac makes a sumpin sumpin ...
Replace C28 with... ?
The difference it tight bass, detail and top end extension will be dramatic,  you will loose your bloom.  They will definitely sound different,  you'll figure out your taste very quickly.  Purchasing used,  no matter what, you shouldn't get hurt a...
Outboard crossover? Why not?
@tatyan69    If you don't have a separate box from the speaker,  the speaker has internal crossovers... You would know if your amp had an electronic crossover to adjust frequency... Jump away,  you will be fine....
Single driver loudspeakers
I've heard some fairly satisfying single driver speakers, but never one that met the criteria that you have laid out.
Would you go all 1 brand for electronics?
Not sure that It would be my cup of tea,  but a very respectable brand that has EVERYTHING is Bryston.  Amps, Preamps, Dac,  Phono, Turntable, Speakers.
Outboard crossover? Why not?
@tatyana69   Internal Crossover,  Correct?  3 pairs of teminals... Bass, mid, treble,  Correct?  For the life of me, I can't see any reason that you couldn't jumper these.... I would assume that the seller just thought they were better being tri-a...
Speaker Non-Vertical Orientation - Maintenance/Movement
When it comes to moving, I've seen more damage occur keeping a speaker in the upright or side position... overall,  I prefer a speaker to be laid on its back.... Standing up or sideways,  when a speaker is jarred or dropped, is when a voice coil s...
