Speaker cable vibration? Rok2id - to address your specific post, I wasn't referring to speaker cones vibrating (wait, those are SUPPOSED to vibrate???), but the binding posts and the cables connected to them. Never mind.
Speaker cable vibration? Damn! I originally posted this as legitimate food for thought, but I should have been wearing my Sarcasm-deflecting bathrobe in hindsight. I usually have to don it whenever I call my mortgage broker, but you guys caught me off guard. Alrighty then...
Speaker cable vibration? ...or see if I can get Jodie Foster's take
Speaker cable vibration? I would like to add that the new speakers I use now do exhibit vibration from the binding posts and through the connectors and speaker cable. Have not experimented with any damping, but my experience tells me that binding post vibration, and by ex...

New preamp: need to change speaker placement? Rrog, I don't trust anyone else's ears but my own, as mine are the only ones that I can hear with. My initial question was more of a blanket statement -- does equipment change affect speaker placement? I honestly wasn't sure since my particular sp...
BEST TUBE PREAMP FOR NUFORCE 9 V2 SE ?? Along the lines of devilboys comment and for your knowledge, I tried a Shindo Aurieges L w my Ref 8s. The Shindo has a pretty high output impedance; the pairing was not optimal.
Any advantages to bi-wiring speakers vs. single Tpreaves, that makes no sense to me. Why would a customer want to do something the speaker designer recommends against? The sales drop in my mind would only be for people who have biwire cable already and want to stick with it.I read the downloada...

Ever have a CD avalanche like losing at Jenga? Thanks for the work-day laugh. Sorry, nothing personal of course. But the imagery of jenga and your writing style was funny. Not to mention the random post. Cheers
Speaker cable vibration? Capt369 - spades vs bananas, is your comment directly related to the vibration issue or just in general? I am not debating your feedback, but would like to hear if spades have been said to ameliorate vibration over bananas
Importance of Power cords feeding Conditioners I'm not saying that the PC to the conditioner is not important; I'm saying IME it's not the MOST important.
Importance of Power cords feeding Conditioners I disagree that the PC to the conditioner is most important. The most significant I've found is PC to source. I have noticed differences w PCs to conditioner, true. But not nearly as dramatic as PC to source.
Speaker cable vibration? Capt369, did you notice a difference with the Herbies in place? |
