McIntosh to be on How It's Made this Thursday
I was disappointed that they didn't spend more time. But that is the way How It's Made does things. They do a good job with the time they dedicate to the subject, but I would have liked to see more of the assembly process. I think that McIntosh do...
cd/dvd repair ot trash
You state that the unit was repaired in the past few months for the same issue. Didn't you get a warranty with that repair? Some repair shops give a 90 day and other 6 months. I would see if they will stand behind their work.
How long before your cartridge warms up?
I find that my Kleos always sounds better on the second side of the LP. I usually play an album side while listening to another source before I even listen, so that I can enjoy the full LP.

Digital-desire, I can appreciate your desire to maximize performance of any system. But in car audio, I think rather than invest in expensive cables that maybe cable isolation would be a more rewarding investment. With the exposure a car and road ...
cardas golden reference sound signature
I think considering the environment of a car moving down the road and producing road noise that expensive cables would never fully yield their potential. Just my opinion of course. With that in mind I think buying a bulk cable from AudioQuest or si...
What to use in polishing high quality wood speaker
Citrus cleaner for wood follows by a bees wax polish for wood. Just read the label to be sure there is no alcohol. But the bees wax seals and the shine is determined by how much you want to buff.
mc302 or mc352
I owned a 352 before I traded for the 402, and I can say the 402 sounds better. So my theory is that McIntosh would make improvements as they introduced new products. I had looked at the 300 before buying the 352 but never really listened to it. I...
Anyone catch news about The Fine Sounds Group?
It will be interesting to see what happens. I am thinking a new question for a trivia game would be "how many owners has McIntosh had" , as much as I like the products they have had at least four owners since I became a customer. I hope that they ...
Turntable on suspended floor - shelf or braces?
I just traded an LP12 in for a RP10 and had severe FF issues with my floor. I had two Lally columns in my basement supporting three joists to eliminate the flex in the floor. I also had a brace between the wall and the top of my cabinet to elimina...
Has anyone heard the new Rega RP10?
Sbrownnw, I think I mis-led you when I said feet. My intentions are to try footers under the existing feet. The feet on the RP10 are threaded and although the guys at Sound Org state they are not designed for adjustment but they do have enough thr...
Apple to Acquire Beats Audio
Reading some of the business mags on line lead me to believe that MOG was struggling when Beats bought them. Also speculation is Apple was motivated more by the music service than the hardware side of Beats. So I guess my hope is that Apple will m...
Apple to Acquire Beats Audio
I wonder if this will end the streaming of Beats via Sonos?Since Apple would want their hardware sales to increase. As far as MOG goes it is already owned by Beats and I would bet the purchase of Beats is all inclusive. On another plain of thought...
Rega RP6 adjustable feet options / thread size?
If they are the same as the RP-10 they are a M4 x.07 pitch.
Has anyone heard the new Rega RP10?
Thanks I do some woodworking and already have a vision of the design. Basically a open top box with a platform sitting on the sand but not touching the sides of the box, right? Your top link is very similar to what I was thinking but I think I wou...
Quiet"er" record cleaner?
I have heard of some that take a 16.5 or similar machine and buy a shop vac then modify it to work with the machine. And then place the vac in another room such as a closet to keep it quieter.
