Do I need better center ch speaker-dialog unclear? I agree with swampwalker, also what cables are you using? You may want to try a silver based cable and maybe gain a little speed to possibly clarify the dialog. Also the other suggestions for relocating the ctr spkr are good ideas.
Mac 252, 353, 402? I own the 352 and have considered and auditioned the 402. The 402 is a 352 with more power and LED lighting. I listened to the 252 but it doesn't have the dual differential output design that the 352 and 402 have, therefore the noise floor is not ...
Linn Ikemi vs Resolution Audio Opus 21 I have never heard or heard of the Opus 21 but as Ikemi owner I can tell you I have not run across a player that would make me sell or trade. I love the warmth and acuracy the Ikemi retreives from the disc.
Buy MacIntosh gear w/o auditioning? As a current and long time Mc owner I can only say I keep coming back. Recently I listened to BAT ampos and decided that they sound better. But I cannot and have decided will not trade away from Mc. Not only is it great and dependable gear. I am a...
Help my speakers are farting,,,, Just as a test for this situation, try pulling your girlfreind's finger with the stereo off! She may be forced to confess her little secret.
Avia Video Setup Disc I see no reason that it wouldn't. The type of display shouldn't enter into the equation, just color and light settings which all refer to the same settings.

Who can help me with a ghost in my system Another ingredient to this story is. I spoke with a local rep where I purcahsed the MX135 and he stated from my decription that the noise sounds like a "digital bleed" and not a RFI/EMI or ground fault. Does that make sense? It does to me. I just ...
Who can help me with a ghost in my system Jameswei- I am using RCA's since the marantz doesn't have balanced out puts. That thought crossed my mind as well. I spoke with Marantz this AM and he suggested I try plugging the 9500 direct in the same outlet as the Mc. Right now the Mc is direc...

Why do I need a phono-pre??? Depends on your cartridge and receiver/pre-amp. You may not. What do you have?
Velodyne DD-series subwoofer Great subs, the determining factor should be real estate. How much floor space do you want to dedicate. I have a room similar in size and have the DD-12 and it does just fine. If anything I might recommend, since the price is right for you, get 2)...
McIntosh MX119/134/135 pre/pro or Krell HTS 7.1 I have owned the MX132-MX134 and now the MX 135 and I can say the 135 definetly exceeds the performance of the 134 in both analog 2 channel and digital 5.1 channel. The movie soundtracks that I have such a U571-River Wild-Saving Private Ryan etc h... |
