Well Jason after all of this I hope that you will share your experinces with bi-wiring pos or neg. Also let us know what speakers, wire and amp you use. Always good to have some input for or against.
How loud do you listen to your music?
Depends on the day, the music and the mood. Some music just sounds better loud. I usually make those short sessions though. No ear ringing for me.
Spare change on a speaker cabinet
This reminds me of the Totem Beak if any one recalls. Totem speakers had an option call the "beak" which was a machined aluminum cone that had a center cavity in the base. They swore that if you placed on top of the speaker cabinet it did some "ma...
Mcintosh,Meridian,Anthem,Classe surround sound
I have owned A bunch of McIntosh C39,MX130,MX132,MX134 and now the MX135 and if you want good two channel and surround in one I would say the MX134 or 135 are good choices. I see them here on AudioGon for that 4500-5000 price range. The 135 of cou...

Satellite vs. Cable
I have had DTV for 9+ yrs and have very few problems. They have been quick to resolve any issues. I had cable at another residence fro at least 12 yrs and had many problems. The only advantage I can see with cable is that if you have multiple sets...
Best sounding phono preamp under $600
Find a used Linn Linto.
Marantz vs. Denon?
My experience is that Mmarnatz usually sounds a little better until you get to the higher end. Then Denon seems to invest more, it's funny cuz their both owned by the same corp. McIntosh is owned by them as well and they sound even better.
Linn Linto phono stage with Scout/JMW9
I have been using a Linto with my system for about 2 years now. I replaced a Naim Stageline/Hi Cap and used the same Lyra LydianB with both. I can say that the Linn has a better bottom through upper mid, but the Naim was better on the top. I use a...
What's the best way to convert to MP3??
Ok that makes more sense. I think I will keep my turntable at home though. The computer audio has it's place I guess, but for me it must be linked to convenience.

Dtronvig, Thank you for your in-depth description/instruction. You have been a great help. I should have included in my original post that I am completely illiterate on this MP3 stuff. I never paid any attention to it during the developenet of it ...
