Warner and Blu ray? Looks like the DVD-HD format is a few steps closer to the grave. Warner was the only one that was supporting both. The local dealer tells me that they sell BR on a 20:1 against HD DVD.I am just waiting for Denon to release their player before I jump.
McIntosh MT-10 Turntable -- thoughts/expectations I spoke with a my dealer that saw it at CEDIA. He is a turntable specialist, in that he seems to know more about TT's than anyone I have met in all my years of this hobby. He had nothing good to say about it, which I take with a grain or two of sal...

Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear Obviously McIntosh must be doing something right. They have been in business since 1949 and they seem to hold a pretty good resale value. I have had several pieces and can say I will probably buy more. I know that there is better out there at the ...

is RMAF worth a trip Just bought my ticket for the fourth year. I always come away with knowledge I didn't go there with. I don't know of any other show that you can see just about everything made. I would say yeah make the trip plan 4 days and spend one in the mounta...
Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear I think taking away the lights, meters and glass panels would cause Mc to lose some of it's attraction. But the quality and sound would remain. It's a package that sells and changing it could cause many to look elsewhere.
Do true audiophiles own Mcintosh gear I have owned a number of Mc peices for the past 12 or so years. I can't say I am an audiophile per se, but I do lovemusic. I love to hear it at it's best in reproduction for the limits of MY budget. I belive that my system sounds as goos as it can...

What interconnects work well with Mcintosh Gear? As a long time Mcintosh owner I have tried a few from Monster, to Audio Magic to Harmonic Tech to Tara labs and finally Cardas. Plasma issues, is it worth it? Thanks for the input. I am using a PS Audio Ultimate outlet for the time being. It sounds like the Plasma issues are common or at least in part. I have a 30 day return policy but really have to look at the LCD again. |
