What are you tweaking this weekend?
Mahgister,  The visual idea is to remove or work around the interference in front of your listening chair. Provide materials that have low shear velocity but are smooth not rough. Move air to you from behind the scenes..That's all for now, run wi...
What are you tweaking this weekend?
Assembled 4 more laminar control devices. My additional prediction as to placement was a mixed bag. These placements raised the soundstage too high and placed an acoustic tail over and behind my head. I already have one on the top of each speaker ...
Isoacoustics Orea vs Townshend Seismic Pod on Components
Our company rename with a new website design and upload this week. Everything direct coupled even the Energy Room. More disclosure to follow over time. Tom   https://soundstageaudio.com/
What are you tweaking this weekend?
Will be adding more laminar flow devices to enhance the flow of air and music  over and around stationary objects. These devices with or without an active generator make for a noticeable improvement in focus, tone and texture. Simple and effective...
Is DSP room correction worth it with a high end analog system?
Here is a link to our new company name and website..including concepts of the Energy Room .Tom soundstageaudio.com
Is DSP room correction worth it with a high end analog system?
I agree with Mahgister simple in room mechanical devices will have a major and fulfilling impact on the air and music in my room. Under construction now are many devices that will contain upto 3000 individual components to enhance laminar flow in...

What's your reference of a spike and did you need to take out a loan to pay for said spike?  Tom

Where is the photo of the 10 penny nail or spike used  in comparison with the high price spread?  Tom

Please post a picture of the spike or nail you used in your testing and data mining. Tom
Way above my pay grade, Sound waves no longer transverse or perpendicular?
Akgwhiz My workarounds are conceived because of the transition of shear waves to compressive and their repetition of form and inner action. I am fascinated with the concept of a reactive boundary layer on a surface and the turbulent air on that b...
Way above my pay grade, Sound waves no longer transverse or perpendicular?
Akgwhiz Boundaries can be placed inside a container so they can be made to actively generate  shear thru discrete porous surfaces and then realigned to increase laminar flow through and around those same boundaries. I have applied some of these p...
Way above my pay grade, Sound waves no longer transverse or perpendicular?
Much like the polarities of shear that travel thru all materials and that make all materials sound different from each other..been on that rap for years.  Nothing new about shear waves but their travel in air was never described  before and was si...
Thiel Owners
The Audiopoint was introduced in 1989. Around that time we made available the smooth barrell pressure fit brass point for select Thiel models. I checked today there are zero available.  Reference in time at my first home in '79 I used hardened ste...

Maybe something here for those dodging the cold the snowflakes and the latest covid variant... a way to pass the time with a deeper look into this hobby. Found this while searching for an illustration of multiple velocity stacks that could be appl...
RIP oregonpapa
Frank was a very generous man with a most generous soul. Always up never down full of energy and exuberance for all things audio... He always sounded so young on the phone until one day I told him my age and he told me his age... he was very smart...
