Does it make sense to use 6k$ Nos tube with 5K$ tube amplifier?
The one thing that Psvane has figured out is how to market to the Western world.  If it's priced high, it must be better.
Eminent technology et2 on Linn Lp12
When you thinks of an ET arm you immediately think of a non-suspended table, but on reflection, I remember hearing and seeing a lot of Oracle owners using the ET arm on their 3-pillar suspended tables, therefore, why not a Linn.  My questions to t...
first impressions of Magico A3's
The A3 are Magico's best speakers for the price.  The rest of their line are over priced in comparison.
Trained ears.
Just like athletes who have to trainrf their bodies, critical listeners need to train their hearing.  Wide exposure, frames of reference, concentration, attention to detail...repeat, repeat and repeat.  No different than how a wine sommelier or p...
Could-care-less Manufacturers and Authorized Dealers Bash
Contacted Jeff Rowland via emails. Got the 5th amendment treatment. I assume you meant the 5th degree.  I would be interested in Rowland's answer as to why they have authorized repair centers if they don't support them?  In any event, my experi...

When you change the vertical position of a pivot, you are in effect changing the horizontal distance between the stylus/record and pivot point of a fixed length tonearm, which in turn changes the balance. As we reduce the distance between stylus/...
Disconnect or power off the circuit breaker
The only time I disconnect my system from the AC is during lightening storms.  I don't notice any improvement after reconnecting.
Tonearms with no anti-skate adjustment
VTF is maximized when the stylus/record interface and tonearm bearing are horizontally inline with one another. Any deviation from this reference will reduce VTF.  Although the VTA will affect VTF, it is not used to set VTF, that's the job of the ...
RIAA, Questions only please
It's too bad that the previous thread is now locked as it contained a lot of insightful and useful information.  I personally get more from a discussion than I do from a lecture.
Why do some manufacturers reverse preamp polarity in the first place?
Now my question is...why? I would say 98% of buyers of this amp do not know to reverse the cable connections That is because they do not read the manual.
Buying Audio in EUR and bringing it to the US for resale
Yes it will affect resale value if the voltage is not country specific.  Also, some US distributors will not honor warranties or in some cases, refuse to service gray market products.
