With regard to the OP's question, I understand that Rockboard 60 is highly regarded. I didn't try it because the minimum order in my neck of the woods was a pallet.
hi anbody have a wood record mat ?
I use 1" graphite over massive cast iron. Like Nottingham Analogue. Sounds neutral - certainly not ’soggy’. That said, it's extremely fine grain graphite - note that there are several grades. Maybe coarse graphite does sound soggy, for all I know.

Ultrasonic cleaning with kirmuss and loss of high frequency details.
@lewm 105 dB at US frequencies. It's only a bit noisy at the 80 KHz setting, while irritating at 37. Still, nowhere near 105.
Speaker wire... Diy?
@dave_b "there is also a lot of well educated imbeciles babbling in institutions."Yeah, whatever, Dave. Amazing reasoning. Sure does sound like you know best.
Speaker wire... Diy?
Ieales is right. Just plain right.Take, for example, my ESL speakers. They come with a resistor in series with the cable to tune the transformer. So, you might ask, why bother with an ultra-low resistance cable? Answer: you shouldn't. You should l...

Does anyone use wood for vibration control?
Panzerholz. Delrin. These are the two relatively commonplace materials with very low resonance. Other materials are far behind.Note the words ’low resonance’. That is the property of absorbing vibration so as to not ring. Both panzerholz and delrin...
Lost all hearing in one ear, is it worth upgrading speakers?
If your other ear is stable, I don't see why you couldn't optimize your speakers for the hearing you have left. But the criteria may be different - if you can't perceive soundstage, you don't have to accept a tradeoff in order to get it.I suggest ...

Looks like a nice piece. Someone took pride in that!
Importance of power cable for Turntable?
With all due respect to previous posters, I would not mess around with a power cord. I suggest the best TT power supply that you can afford. Comes with a cord. Nottingham's Wave Mechanic is very good, Walker is said to be good (for AC synchronous ...
