A problem with AC Power you may not have considered.
Re the opening post: I usually find and bring some incandescent bulbs to audio shows for our given display room. It has to do with the idea of resistive dissipation of transient noise in the lines. Seems like a good premise and seems to work....it...
Could I be a Retail Wretch?
Guitar Center is an American music retailer chain. It is the largest company of its kind with 269 locations in the United States. They dominate the industry already. So they also dominate pricing. Not sure what they bring to the discussion. I...
What is the first album you purchased, and do you still have it?
"No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun...." 10 years old, and the panic begins.... Had been listening to Sabbath Paranoid since age 6-7. War Pigs, was probably my favorite song along with Iron Man, since I was into comics. Being...
What is the first album you purchased, and do you still have it?
First: Supertramp, Crime of the Century (also bought the mo-fi when it was released)Second: Pink Floyd, Dark Side Third: Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath Age 10 "So roll up and see...how they rape the universe.... how they’ve gone from bad to worse..."
Digital, Low Mass, ClassD, Less expensive, Let it happen!
I’ve always been a fan of simple well made $1000 systems. It takes effort on the part of the user of such, though. Most throw money at it trying to get it to work, when effort is the part that makes it work. Throwing money at the problem can be in...
Where do cables upgrades have the most impact?
@teo_audio I realize this goes against the grain of what you posted : ) however, do you have specific advice on how to move along the ’journey’ more efficiently? To try to at least build or modify a single piece of gear. Or that built piece of gea...
Will decent speakers always out do headphones?
We know one thing, is that they (better ones) are very likely going to be sealed back headphones, to keep the noise interference down so you won’t go deaf - cranking things up to keep the riffs and drums out. This brings it down to a small selecti...
Where do cables upgrades have the most impact?
Source to preamp or integrated. If a turntable, then turntable wiring/cable and tonearm wiring. It’s a careful balancing act of understanding the gear and the cable. Eg, dark system so you get a cable which exaggerates highs in an edgy fashion and...
Ortofon Cadenza Range loading range
That is not fine enough of a scale.the motor is damped via the current flow on the coils and then it’s termination at the input of the preamp, this part is the adjustability of the damping. So it’s not just purely electrical. In some cartridges, if...
Does anyone use white gloves to handle records?
Only when playing thriller or off the wall. But seriously, I simply wash my hands before cleaning records and act like a medical worker, as in, keep my hands away from all but the work in front of me.
HEY! I'm gonna' be a billionaire
The biggest problem would likely be "how loud can this thing go before it pops?" And there is only one way to test that. It has to be popped. "It seems to be doing ok!", the one guy screams. "Ok, give it some more!", the other screams.... kaboom! ...

Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open.
Roger nice job handling Teo. IMO he embodies everything that is wrong in high end audio these days. Some Ignorance is so manifold that it is used to commit to attacks so libelous and underhanded... that the person initiating is practically kicked...
Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open.
There was no bamboozling and nothing like the pseudoscience you propose on your website. http://www.teoaudio.com/technical/I ran into you on the cable threads. This thread is about answering questions. Please leave us alone. Before you answer a ...

They left shaking their heads because when they compare the same preamps one at a time they "think" they hear big differences. They do hear big differences at home. No doubt about it. Long term listening does reveal bigger differences than short ...
