Your thoughts on selling
My guess is that just as you have a difficult time judging the value of each record, the buyer will have the same issue.  If  it sounds “OK, but with flaws”, what’s it worth?  And if a buyer pays shipping to receive a record which is ruined, they’...
Adding a sub. - can i start with one?
Two subwoofers is recommended for a normal size listening room.  The room the OP described appears to be an entire building.  I wonder if he should be thinking of eventually having 3 or 4 subs for this space?
Just got a new Bluesound Node. Very disappointed!
I like the latest version NODE.  I’m very pleased with the sound improvement compared to streaming through my iPad Pro to an Apple AirPort Express.  Perhaps an external DAC would be an improvement.  I’ve read that a $2K DAC will result in a modest...
Do Recording Studios Use Silver Cables
What I was getting at was that top artists record at studios that have state-of-the-art equipment.  Those studios wouldn’t use interconnects that are lower quality than the rest of their gear.  I expect that there are some people on the forum who ...
What is the best 2 channel listening chair?
May I suggest the LeCorbusier Chaise Lounge LC4.  For music listening set it the most upright position.   https://www.dwr.com/living-lounge-chairs/lc4-chaise-lounge/6515.html?lang=en_US
What's better, one conductor or two conductors for an RCA interconnect?
Blue Jeans Cable recommends coaxial cables for subwoofer, stereo audio, digital audio, etc.  They state that, “The most important attributes of a line-level unbalanced audio cable are (1) shielding, and (2) capacitance. Heavy shielding protects au...
E-bay and its sellers
The OP also said that the seller cancelled some sales and incorrectly reported that the buyer canceled.  So there’s a second infraction of eBay policies. The OP may be venting, but he’s also warning us about potential buying issues on eBay. I ju...
For those that have separate Streamers & DACS
Bluesound NODE $600.  Lumin T2 $4500. I have a NODE and it is working well for me.  I don’t know how much better an upgrade would sound, because I’ve never hear anything else.
E-bay and its sellers
I have over 800 positive reviews on eBay.  It’s never appropriate for anyone to receive a response as the OP did.  Even low ball offers get a ‘no thanks’ response from me.  If I’m very firm on the price I don’t respond.  Sometimes I’ll play along ...
cheapest cable upgrade ever
Can you imagine the guy sitting in a Roman bath, telling his friends that the world is round?  There are some things we understand and some we don’t.  If a battery isn’t electrical, what happens to the charge when a battery has been sitting in a d...
Help Me Learn WHY My Recent Upgrade Was Successful
I read in a moon-audio.com article about streamers that, “In our opinion, the DAC will account for about 70% of the sound quality, with the streamer accounting for the other 30%”.  But my guess is that assessment does not include other the other f...
Is there a DAC ranking list?
The sound is AMAZING!  Before I bought this system, I was a daily music listener via earphones, so music has always been an important part of my life.  I listen while I bike ride.  Sometimes when I don’t feel like riding I’ll go anyway just to lis...
Is there a DAC ranking list?
UPDATE: I bought a Bluesound NODE 3rd gen, and connected it through an AiMesh WiFi repeater dual band 300+867Mpbs.  I started by tuning in to Radio Paradise MOA music. WOW!!  I was impressed!!  Prior to this, I was pleased hearing a few notes on ...
Is there a DAC ranking list?
Thanks for all the responses and input!  I appreciate your taking the time to look at my situation and comment on it.  I’ve ordered a Bluesound NODE.  Given my room and the rest of my equipment, it might be a good match to improve my music with wh...
Is there a DAC ranking list?
05-21-2022 at 01:51pm  Headphones for the win in that room. No question. Yes, you are probably right.  My Moondrop Blessings sound great using the iPad Pro.  I noticed that sounds like xylophones and musical sticks often sound very realistic...
