My stereo receiver is a little too bright. Can a cable help me out?
Changing cables WILL affect the sound. Why do people STILL naysay this ....? Some are  on the bright side and some are duller than typical.I have an Oppo 105D and do not use it to stream music as it can be a bit harsh, so that would not help, and ...
Want a streaming device without DAC in $1K range
If you are in USa you could just about get a second hand Bryston bdp2. I have 2 of them and only upgraded my main system to a DCS upsampler recently as it needed a BIG price difference to beat the bryston
Which amp is better for my system
I have Threshold s1000's and did a live comparison with the top of range Classe monoblocksNo competition. The Thresholds won by a country mile - Classe nowhere near the Thresholds in any respect
Do we really need anything greater than 24/96? Opinions?
"Are you saying you were comparing normal CD to native 192, or normal CD against CD upsampled do 192? "I have not heard many native 192! People have ripped to 192 and claimed 192, but they are not authentic, and on playback are easy to spot as bei...

Warm up time for amps
The usual suspect naysayers will say a signal is a signal. Amps and cables have nothing to do with any digital signal. So why do we say otherwise ...?Sorry I digress, just thought I  would tell the morons what is what
Warm up time for amps

Warm up time for amps
Thanks Elizabeth - I think I need to contact Bryston to see what technical issues (beyond my normal ken)  come into play.My 28bsst2's have a similar problem and if I were to rely on memory (not a good thing!) I would say they took 20 minutes to wa...

I am leaving them on - it just takes time to get to working temperature, which is not the "idle" temperature

How many amps do you own?
I have a number of items across the board and I would like to swap them around to see effect. The big problem I have, is that would involve the usual excessive swearing, dripping sweat and highly raised blood pressure in moving them around in rack...
