The Boss is the Bo$$
"I assume there are many things in the contract but I bet there are at least 2. He cannot record for release any song in the contract and he can still perform any song live for no or low charge." ibmjunkman-That would be one interesting contract ...
An Artist's Pinnacle
"Dirt was the peak for Alice in Chains, and Rocks was the top for Aerosmith. " roxy54-funny you should mention AIC-Dirt. A millennial had a T shirt with that album cover. I mentioned to him it was their  best, but he never heard it. "Toys in the...
The Boss is the Bo$$
Cool story artemus. The early albums aren't the best in SQ, but after weeding a few copies of Darkness, I've got a "stamper" level that's a great demo LP. Easy cheap bin find. Candy's Room, Streets of Fire, Darkness on the Edge of Town at  full ...

Perhaps the only the bad thing is to now expect hearing something in a corny commercial ad nauseum.
RIP oregonpapa
RIP Hard to believe it was over 6 years ago I was on that ART9 thread exchanging thoughts with Frank about my experience. He is in a better world experiencing the HIGHEST FIDELITY-beyond anything we can imagine.
Help with Cartridge choice
Nice choice. I'd include the Audio Technica lineup, and NOT spend as much since you're limited by the table. Use the dough for speakers/amp.  https://www.audio-technica.com/en-us/cartridges/type/moving-coil Maybe something in the OC9 series...

Maybe works something like this... "Celebrity" designed means Pro-ject takes one of their entry tables,"collabs" with "celebrity" with their "unique" ideas. Now  declared "designed by X" and put a marketing campaign behind it. Maybe a hit with G...
Has anyone heard the new Eric Alexander signature speakers the matrix LS?
Pricing seems excessive? Replace standard tweeters with Beryllium and a few other changes, but keep the DIY appearance/build? Eggxactly predictable.
Has anyone heard the new Eric Alexander signature speakers the matrix LS?
They may sound good but $18K, and you get those same  DIY looking cabinets with woofers that aren't flush mounted? Fail in the aesthetics column. $18K should buy beautiful sound AND looks.
Mingus
All of Mingus late 50's-early 60's are winners. I am on a permanent search for LP's in this period.
How much gear do you own?
He who ages with the LEAST amount of gear yet with the MOST satisfaction- wins Aging with a tube amp/table/FM tuner/speakers and a few "stampers." With luck, I will continue WITHOUT hearing aids.
Crosstalk
Relay based switch is the solution.
old ears
Consider used, and you can find something up to twice your budget. My hearing is down @7Khz with tinnitus-your hearing is great!
FINALLY-a cheapskates US cleaner?
"However, I did hear some of the pops and clicks that have been mentioned on other forums after i cleaned one LP that i did not remember before, although this issue was also present with the Kirmuss." daveyf- How about another go around? If so, d...
Is participating in this Forum infringing on and spoiling some of your listening time?
Agon makes for a great airport and waiting room time burner.
