The electrons were confused going against the arrows on your cable(if there is any)If you heard a difference, then there is. Never a difference myself. I've read that manufacturers put arrows on their cables "because consumers expect them"

I would be all over this if I were in shopping mode. Easily a last purchase. If you ever get the urge, it can be upgraded to play with  "the best"https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lisa2hd3-balanced-audio-technology-vk-p6se-tube-phono-stage-mc-bat...

oleschool-Your phonostage appears to be up to the task. When you get the itch to hear "what's next", a phono stage higher up the food chain can make a dramatic difference.I'm in the tube camp. The popular models start somewhere in the $2-3K range....
Turntable Upgrade question..
You're in a terrible spot.Endless recommendations for "the best" for your budget.  Whatever it is, play the hell out of it.If the itch still persists, upgrade EVERYTHING until the wife threatens divorce.

"I didn’t even miss my Koetsu"Interesting testimony from a Koetsu owner. I'm actually on my second ART 9. The cantilever magically "disappeared" after 3 years with the first one.The ART 9 certainly isn't a "downgrade" comparing to the $2K+ Kiseki...

latik-I would seriously consider the older ART 7 over all of them if the phonostage has 65db's of gain. More refined than the ART 9. ART9 being more of a value proposition over the Kiseki.https://www.lpgear.com/product/ARART7.htmlI own the Kiseki ...
How do you know what you're missing?
End of the day, it's simply what sounds good to you.Stay off forums, and enjoy your music. Audiophoolery is just another hobby.
Thousands of tubes for sale
At least 1/3 of the lot, likely useless for audio gear. That 1/3 then becomes even smaller once you sort the duds out.Not such a "bargain" now.

I have the same VPI Classic. Been using the Audio Technica ART9 for many years. For $300 dollars less, you can still buy the original version.https://www.lpgear.com/product/ATART9.html$300 more, you get a threaded body and hair splitting differenc...
The truth...Anyone can consider themselves a consultant, of anything.
"I have met Laruen Bacall"Cool to imagine Lauren and Bogie spending time listening to 78’s or hanging out in a dinner club listening to big bands playing.I love this supposed bit from an interview:"I had one great marriage, I had three great child...
Downside to "revealing" system?
Not so fast..SS Strain Gauge-the final frontier. I've had the opportunity to sit and listen with my own LP's in  a SS room w/PL. That damn SG IMO, was all those stupid audio geek superlatives AND it did sound organic.Just more to chew on.
Dinah Washington, have you listened to her?
Just  Covid boredom/post debate fatigue for me.20 lashings with cheap lamp cord  and Justin Beiber on repeat for your offense.
Dinah Washington, have you listened to her?
Dinah Washington "rough around the edges" Sigh...The OP puts Diana(assuming Krall?)and Rosie(whoever that is) with Ella, "Billy?"(should be Billie) and Sarah.....Enough said.
Dedicated Vinyl system next upgrade?
