What speaker – under $10k – has the best timbre and tonal qualities?
"has the best"That's where you lose me. Who is qualified to tell your ears it's hearing "the best"?Upgrade your PL PP to an EVO or used Dialogue, and you'll get more of what you're liking. All those speaker recommendations  are "the best"The PL ...
What In The World Is Going On?
Don't worry.....It's not an episode of the twilight zone. This is happening in certain markets. Try and buy a bicycle at a bike store. Likely, the store will have zero inventory, and the lead time can be up to 6 MONTHS!Play used records. There's p...

Ar ethe current LP's available for $25 or so as goos as the old ones.
Your question is still ambiguous.Or likely, I'm not interpreting the question correctly. Are these "$1500 to $2500 newly issued LP's" an alternative to the same album which is priced less? I'm not on top of current new release pricing but took a p...

Ar ethe current LP's available for $25 or so as goos as the old ones.
If  you are purchasing new recent artist releases, you're forced to buy to buy one of those new "Oversized black CeeDee's" for whatever price they are.Anything new is digitally recorded, so what's the point? Hear it on a nice setup, call it a day....

"Those are honkin' tubes. Would they work in my amp? I don't know. They're not on the list the amp came with."hilde45- They aren't available yet. My guess is if your amp is approved for KT150, they probably will be. Until they are officially rel...

.2mv vs .4mv out for LOMC into 60db gain phono stage?
I'm cartridge hunting, and likely will just stay at .5mv choices.Any killer deal sightings(under $1k), please post!I'll keep the  ART9(old stock@ $900) in mind if nothing interesting pops up in listings.
PS Audio Power Plant 15........
The Power Plant thing is like any other piece of equipment- YMMV. Subjective "improvement".I  instantly heard the opposite when I plugged a Power Plant in years ago. My 13 year old, PP Premier was recently refreshed by PS Audio and will go at leas...
Rega RP10 vs. VPI Classic Signature
Perhaps the OP is too busy listening to files/streaming?
Vpi advenger
Is it a better deal than this listing?https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lisa635j-vpi-avenger-reference-turntable-with-vpi-12-fatboy-tonear...If I had to have the Avenger, I'd seriously consider it. Prices have also been interesting with the DD model.
.2mv vs .4mv out for LOMC into 60db gain phono stage?
"Matching an 8W SET amp with 4 ohm 82dB speakers will make some sort of sound as well."That's what I'm also considering. I don't want to be kicking myself after the fact! Just wont  know without taking the leap.
