Computer Speakers Randy- If you can find a pair, I'd ask you to consider the NHT M-00s. I'm loving mine in the same use as you are talking about.
"Innovations" rooms at RMAF 2017 -1 dweller. Party favors only to those who stick around long enough to hear before AND after ;-)
If you were to market a product, what would you do? Web site mandatory, IMO. Beta-testers a great idea, as long as I'm on the list ;-) dealer/club demo days probably a good idea. Shows like RMAF and the one in DC might be pretty expensive, unless you can find an established speaker manufacturer ...
Member's recommendations for tube amplification No idea.
PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium Preamplifier. DESTROYS SPEAKERS!! George- Unfortunately, it's possible/probable that some of what you have dealt with is caused by living on the bleeding edge. Sometimes, extracting that last bit of performance comes at the expense of some reliability. One of my engineering coll...

Anyone have Bookshelf speakers mounted over top of their subs?? In terms of eliminating room effects, theory would say that asymmetric placement of two (or more) subs would have a better chance of being successful. In practice, your patience, set-up skills, and EQ-ability would also be very important.
Member's recommendations for tube amplification david_ten-Despite all the buzz, I have not heard the Tektons, so no idea how these amps might interact w your speakers, but I cannot say enough about the Atma and VAC Ren amps. IME, 300b SET amps could not drive 94-95 dB speakers in my moderate s...
Shipping large speakers My understanding is that FedEx "insurance" is only insurance that they won't lose the package. And that they only way for them to "insure" the contents is for them to actually pack it. I could be wrong...there's always a first time ;-)
$100,000 line stage The transformers they use were buried underneath the base of Mount Fuji for 10 years prior to being installed, allowing them to project that very organic sound. As a soil scientist, I can advise them of the best place for an even more organic ...
Have you ever met another audiogon member in person? bdp- since we are brothers in hair as well as musical tastes, I guess I should point out that I'm SwampwaLKer, not SwampwaTer. I'm a wetland scientist, I walk around in swamps. Just sayin'...
Have you ever met another audiogon member in person? Au contraire, bdp24. Some of us just cut our hair shorter to deal with hot, humid summers ;-)
Have you ever met another audiogon member in person? Actually, wolfie is not ALLOWED out w/o a "chaperone" AND a GPS bracelet! I’ve met a few members...Trelja, had a few listening sessions w dougdeacon and others, met Atmasphere and Albertporter at shows, a few others briefly buying and selling gear...
Feastrex Field Coil speaker repair @johnk Thank you. I had not thought of that but it makes perfect sense. I guess I contributed to that by leaving them powered up rather than wait for them to warm up. I won't be doing that anymore when/if they get fixed.
