Good power cord for Rotel?
I don't mean to look down on your system (it's very nice for the money it cost);.... however;.... in my experience Rotel while really great stuff for the money it costs, is not really refined enough to notice any big changes from tweeks of any kin...
Good speaker cable for Rotel / B & W
So how do the Crystal's related to the Slate? I've lost track with all the AQ cables changes. I was going to tell you the Slate are fine for your level of equipment. Don't spend more money.Seems to me AQ changes their cables names, colors, package...
B&W DM220's - worth anything or 'give away'?
Take a nice photo and put them on eBay. You'll get more than you think....Do you have the 220's or 202's ??4 Pairs of 220's sold on eBay in the last month. The highest went for $202.50.
Anyone ever hear Motif MS 2001 amp
The Motif gear is nice. I owned some for years. It was CJ's first entry into solid state, and in many ways was higher high end than their current solid state gear.I actually liked the preamps the best. The MC-10 was later made into the CJ PFR. The...

Can you put the center 804 speaker behind the TV on something tall as a stand so it is above the TV? Just a thought. Post a new thread for this question. There are lots of folks that use large "non-center" speakers
AC polarisation. Does it matter?
RwwearIt is unfortunitely a well documented fact that plugs get wired backwards sometimes. That is the cause of some electrical house fires when certain critical equipment gets plugged in. Can you say POP !!!When I bought my current house, the ins...

Yes............(Don't cook it...!!!!!) LOL
AC polarisation. Does it matter?
The AC polarity could also be off on the wall plug. No reason to believe the crew that installed the outlets in the house got all the wires put on the plugs the right way. They work very fast. You can buy a polarity checker at most hardware stores....

The best place for specs is the REL website. The REL website is hard for some to find because it is not a .comClick here to find the REL website .....
Best SS Amp with tight clean bass
My reaction is to get new speakers if they are the problem. If not, you could get an audiophile quality subwoofer with a bypass filter to reduce or cut-off the low bass signal going to your main speakers.Otherwise, what is your budget for an amp?
Rega P25, would it sound better than my CDP?
Hard to tell. Probably if you use a good phono preamp and set up the turntable properly. I've found for equal dollars spent, vinyl sound better. CD's are generally quieter if that matters to you (no pops, scratches, etc). Invest is a good record c...

Your Nautilus speakers are very refined, so you do not want a cheap sub to muddy up the bass. This is one reason I recommended the REL Stsdium or better.I have a REL Storm III that I used for 2 channel until I got my latest speakers. In the past t...
Is this a logical break in technique?
Just listen to your speakers and enjoy them. They will break in gradually over time and you'll probably not notice much, since you'll get use to them. Just avoid really loud volume at first; and just use lower volume when you leave the system on w...

Criteria for a phono stage?
The Goldring is a pretty mainstream cartridge. I'd think most phono stages would fit fine. It is a "high output" Moving Coil cartridge so would use the Moving Magnet setting on a preamp.Things usually only touchy when using a very low output MC.
