Purist Audio power cords and cables
Inna - unless you heard the top Wireworld your statement is subjective. I agree...Cardas was the poorest sounding wire I ever had in my system...and I have Ayre electronics who suggests Cardas.
VPI Avenger
The direct drive is still being made....personally by Harry. Its a special order item. The Avenger gets very close with much less money. The Avenger's mag/lev platter will be available for all those tables that use the Classic platter. (The platte...
Turntable set up- How easy is it
I agree with AudioConnection, however, it may be out of adjustment by the time you get it home. Setup requires time and patience (and a few tools)..time is not freely given from a store and expect to be charged for it. You don't mention your turnt...
Purist Audio power cords and cables
To ME, Purist has a particular sound whereas Wireworld just tells it like it is.
Cadillac of Turntables?
The Cadillac is in flux. My father's Cadillac was a piece of junk, the new ones are going after the BMW crowd.

Is my stylus damaged ?

Power cable "Break in" question
Don't worry at all. When you get your new equipment, plug in the new power cord with the new equipment, and in a month or so, both the cord and the new equipment will have broken in. Actually, its quite interesting to hear how the sound changes. D...
MC cartridges new vs. old
New is always better.
TT cables, Need help
Shielded cables are good if and only if you need them. Shields tend to make cables sound closed in - less open..less good.
Since solder is such a poor conductor, why use it?
I used to manufacture my own cables and quickly realized that solder was no good...I crimped all my cables
giant killer xlr's
..by the way....I don't think Wireworld is stranded. ..may be a series of solid metal runs placed side by side. By the way #2....Anti-Cable is solid as well.
