The way Jaguar got better is that they sold the company.   ...Tata
Tonearms longer than 12 inches
I had a Helius Orion...the worst arm I ever had. Had to go back to England many times to readjust/refurbish the bearings....I’d never again buy from this manufacturer.  I didn't care what it sounded like...didn't have it that much.
Which has higher priority, overhang or VTA?
Every change  requires adjustment of all other parameters

I’m using a Winfield on a VPI Superscoutmaster/Classic Platter/rim drive/3D tonearm. Absolutely beautiful. The Winfield takes a l-o-n-g time to sound its best. I’m using 1000 ohms for its load. Be sure to take all the time you need to set it up pr...

Right channel makes raspy noise when playing records
Visually inspect the stylus to see if it has somehow been bent/off center/etc.   or simply get a new cartridge.

French_Fries...incremental buying is a sure way of paying way more than you should, and...never be satisfied.
Koetsu RSP Sound Problem
Before you do that, because its been sitting around for awhile, I'd try demagnetizing it with the use of a fluxbuster...just be careful that it is recommended.  Some cartridges (don't know about the Koetsu) has internal wiring that could melt with...

VPI Cartridge People: What next?
I'm using an Ortofon Winfield which you can get new in your price range. Load it at 1000 ohms and smile.  My advice is to try your turntable without the Gingko.  It absolutely ruined the sound of my VPI, but every system is different.
