Vandersteen makes a powered sub that will work very well with your speakers.
Does a tube need the break-in hours?
Uncle Kevvy from Upscale told me the 12au7 and 12ax7 tubes which were NOS would take around 50 hours to break in.
Analog integrated amp recommendation
What about a Pass? I think they had a integrated 150 that went for $7500.00 I would check with Reno Sound as they carry all the used , closeouts and refurbished Pass equipment as well as new Pass equipment.
Feedback Problem
I am wondering if the high output of the cartridge is amplifying the feedback to a greater extent? I didn’t hear it with the Denon perhaps because it’s output is so low it doesn’t amplify enough for the speakers to pick up?
Suggest an SACD/CD player under $6k
I wouldn't go the dac route as you can't play the SACD layer through it.
Goldenear Reference Vs. Focal Sopra #2.....pocket the $5k difference and don't look back?
First of all, GE designed all their own drivers for the Triton References and they certainly aren't cheap drivers slapped in a box.  Their crossovers use all the best high end parts including Mondurf caps.  The fact that they build them in China i...

make sure you give him good feedback if you haven't already.
New Adcom power amps?
I owned Adcom in the early 90's.  Tweeter hi fi used to really push that brand.  I had the 555 amp and their best preamp, their tuner and cd player connected to Vandersteen 2ci speakers.  I thought it was great until I heard the same speakers with...
Goldenear Reference Vs. Focal Sopra #2.....pocket the $5k difference and don't look back?
JNC...................funny, I don't find the Triton References to be in your face in the least, not in the very least.  I have heard many Focals and I do not care for them at all.  That Berelium tweeter is like sticking an ice pick in my ears plu...
Goldenear Reference Vs. Focal Sopra #2.....pocket the $5k difference and don't look back?
@contuzzi.........and just where did you get this information regarding Sandy Gross?   I am quite a seasoned audiophile  having been into high end audio since the mid 70's and to my ears, you can't  get a better speaker for 8500.00.  Have you ever...
Acrolink Cables, anyone heard them?
I ordered the Acrolink 7N A2110 cables from The Cable Company at $400.00 a pair.  They don't stock any of the Acrolink cables so need to be ordered.  I placed 1 phone call and 2 email messages and got no response from the Cable Company.  Is this t...
Goldenear Reference Vs. Focal Sopra #2.....pocket the $5k difference and don't look back?
I own the Triton References and like you, felt they reproduced Rock very well.  Since over 90% of my listening is to Rock, it was a no brainer to me.  I may be wrong but I seriously doubt the Sopras will do Rock the justice it deserves.  If you ar...
Former Tekton owners: What have you moved on to?
I have never owned or heard the impacts or Double Impacts. For one, my wife or I wouldn’t want them in our living room, they are too large and quite unattractive to me. Thats not to say they aren't gorgeous to someone else. To each his or her own....
Help with upgrading Pre Amp
I purchased a Rogue RP-5 a little over a year ago and am totally happy with it.  It has plenty of flexibility, remote control and tubes.  It is dead quiet and has gotten great reviews.  At 3500 retail, it is a great buy and it is built well and qu...
Rega RP8 or Technics SL1200G
I would go with the Technics.  I heard it at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest and was totally blown away by it.  If I hadn't recently spent 4K on my Prime, I would have bought the Technics.  The new arm is excellent and is nothing like the older one ...
