The Allure of Vintage Audio Gear
@jasonbourne71, wow! I had the original 3 highboys I believe they were called and traded them for the 3A, then bought the 7 which was a more modern 3A. I worked in an audio store, and got 50% off retail. I think the 7 went for $800 retail price. I...
The Allure of Vintage Audio Gear
The only vintage I would think about purchasing today would be a pair of Rectilinear 3A or Rectilinear 7 speakers.  I owned both in the early through late 70’s but stupidly sold them for something I thought would be better, it was not.
The Low Volume Loudness Dilemma
Are there any preamps made today that offer a loudness function?  That would be your best bet.
Integrated amp for Legacy Focus speakers
The McIntosh MA 7200 is 200wpc into 4 or 8 ohm loads.
McIntosh MC312 vs. ARC Reference 150
@ghdprentice   The McIntosh is NOT bass heavy and very midrange.  Why do you sprout lies about McIntosh?
Phono cable for SL-1200G
I use a VPI phono  cable for my SL1200G.  It was left over from my previously owned Prime.  I spoke with Chris Van Haus at VH Audio about getting a new cable for the Technics and he told me the cable I am using is excellent.  So, I’m still using i...

Any Rhode Island audiophiles out there?
@oddiofyl  I have purchased from all the shops you mentioned over the years.  I bought a Parasound Halo integrated back in 2016 at Safe and Sound HQ when they were first setting up their upstairs sound room.  Good people, willing to work with you...
IsoAcoustics GAIA
@bigwave1  My post further up the page states I use the carpet spikes.  Sound better with them on my thick living room carpet.
What's Up With Jane's Addiction?
Jane says................. punch the guitarist.
IsoAcoustics GAIA
I use the GAIA 2 with my GE Triton Reference speakers, definitely brought the sound up a notch or two. Love them. I also use their carpet spikes under the GAIA.
mcintosh mcd-12000
Never heard it, don’t know.  For that kind of money, I would look at the Esoteric brand of players.  I use one in my McIntosh based system and it sounds phenomenal.
Any Rhode Island audiophiles out there?

Wyred 4 Sound Driver Issue
Why not try uninstalling the drivers, rebooting and then reinstalling the drivers?  One of the files could be corrupted.
Hot off the press...Technics SL 1300G
I see it does not have the magnesium arm of the 1200G and the weight of the turntable is only 28 pounds, far less than the 1200G.  I will stick with my 1200G as i love it.
