Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable Lewm, that's a very reasonable response. Beats the other thread I originated some months ago, where the first reply accused me of dishonesty, I was rude right back, and the whole thread got terminated! The only 'flaw' to speak of is a very differe...
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable Thekong, I totally concur. I haven't made a direct a-b in my system with other top tts, I've had to listen to top tts in a variety of different setups, so the comparison is maybe unfair.I was ready to drop some serious money on an SME 20 or TW Acu...
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable Lewm, promote in this case means 'encouraging the flourishing of' the Salvation, not neccesarily 'encouraging the sales of' said item (check dictionary.com), although I believe it deserves to. So, a subtle, but important, use of the English langua...
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable Radicalsteve and Lewm, why are you talking about the Trio on a Trans Fi thread? I don't doubt it's a great tt, but your discussion needs to be on it's own, or a non belt, thread. I'm trying here to promote to the audio world an amazing overperform...
Can a $3K table be among the best out there? Sorry Sarcher, but it is: Trans Fi Audio Salvation. If you can stretch to $3500-$4000, to include dedicated arm. I was ready to shell out on the 5-10x pricier SME 30 and TW Acustic AC3, when I heard this gem. Now it's the one in my system.
Esco cantilever/stylus mods for Zu Denon 103R Gosh, the ESCCo Zu 103 is changing character, literally every time I listen to it, and all GOOD! I'm settling on 2.45 VTF. What's fascinating is that what to all intents and purposes would never be described as a 'neutral' cartidge, is proving to ...
Can a $3K table be among the best out there? Check out the Trans Fi Audio Salvation direct rim drive tt with it's Terminator T3Pro air bearing linear tracking arm. £2400 UK price, $4000-$4500 US price. I have it, and believe it beats tt/arms over 5x the price. Most bang for buck in analogue,...
Anyone listen to Zu Audio's Definition Mk3? Hey, am I the only one to keep the Def4 thread alive? A note to Phil esp., I've just got back the Uk based Expert Stylus And Cartidge Company (ESCCo) modded Zu 103 cart with unique Paratrace stylus and White Sapphire cantilever.Rest assured Phil, ...
Zu DruidV's has anybody heard them? Yes, Phil, if your hearing has returned. Can you confirm that the Zu Def4s, which share the same Radian tweeter, will benefit from the same cap upgrade that you deem works in the Druid. Or if this not likely to be the case.
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable I'm gradually changing my mind on the ESCCo modded Zu 103 thru the Salvation/Terminator. It's really proving to be an even handed cart thru this most neutral of platforms, with the slight caveat that it doesn't have the last percent of detail retr...
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable Hi Peter, yes, the Salvation/Terminator is providing that stable platform. The fascinating thing is that I consider them to be the most 'neutral' components in my system, and with the right cartridge provides a fantastically exciting sound. Strang...
Review: Soundsmith SG-410 Strain Gauge Cartridge Cartridge Vacman, I'm going to be auditioning the SG200 in the next 2-3 months, and will be very interested how it racks up against my ESCCo modded Zu Denon 103, which has bested my previous favourite, the Transfiguration Orpheus. Some more thoughts please, ...
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable Further thoughts on the Salvation/Terminator. It's providing a really neutral platform to assess carts/phono stages by.I'm finding that the inherent tonality and bass texture of carts like the ESCCo modded Zu Denon 103 and Lyra Parnassus really sh...
Esco cantilever/stylus mods for Zu Denon 103R Hdm, you're absolutely right. I'm approaching the 35 hour point, and changes to settings are settling nicely. Gone from VTF 2.0 (too floaty) to 2.5 (too leaden) to 2.25 (too right). OCD is being rewarded!
Esco cantilever/stylus mods for Zu Denon 103R Hdm, really finding the ESCCo modded Zu 103 is giving me a great sound. As per your advice I'll try and dial VTF in a bit further. It DEFINITELY excels at 2.5 v 2.0. I know quite a few advise c.2.25. More endless OCD. Thank Heavens the end result ... |
