PC manufacturers?
I'd say it is personal preference.   Take a generic 16g cable, swap it, and determine if that particular cable upgrade makes a suitable sound improvement.  If not, sell it, and use the 16g cable until you find something that does work to your pref...
Connecting Bluesound Node 2i to remote stereo system over WIFI -
I don't have a Node 2i but I do have two Node 2's.  With the Node 2, the Wi-Fi reception was downright lousy.   It worked okay if it was a few feet away but more than 8 feet reception became pretty bad and some days it didn't work at all.  It does...
Origin Live company support
Good information here.  I was talking to OL about a new turntable motor but all I got was vague information and "Buy it, if it doesn't work out, return it."   Seems like I would be the guy who is doing the R&D to see how it works out rather th...
Best Digital Music Server
A lot of good suggestions here.  I do recommend you get something that is Roon compatible, it is just too useful a database to skip that feature.    Even if you don't plan to use it now, you can get a free trial and you might prefer it.   Exact Co...
Using medical ethernet isolator (MI 1005) for Network streamer ?
It is a good idea and certainly won't hurt anything.  I'd give it a try and see what you think.   The price seems right to experiment.   Galvanic isolation is almost always a good thing.
Preamp recommendations for Aragaon Palladium amps?
Those are good quality amps.  I'd suggest anything that fits your budget in the used market from Conrad Johnson, Audio Research, Mark Levinson, or Bryston.   The better Parasound preamps should work just fine with those as well.
Looking for info on Livewire Black by Audioquest
I suggest you simply contact Audioquest and talk to them.  Odds are they have a cable that is very close to what you have and readily available.   If you just need information, that would also be the place to find it in spades.
Beveridge speaker owners in/near Chicago?
That is an awesome loudspeaker!   Lucky you to have a pair!   I am surprised no other speaker manufacturer attempted to make a similar pair.   It is a great concept!
Integrityhifi TRU-GLIDER Pendulum Tonearm
Yes, I can see that.   The mass of a tonearm has to decrease as the length increases.   Most modern arms and certainly most carbon fiber arms are already low mass, so it becomes difficult for the mass of longer arms to compete.  It was the floatin...
Hafler effect setup - any concerns for a "ParasoundZonemaster2350" p-amp (or in general)
That concept works for a non bridged amp configuration, it won't work for a bridged amplifier.   Do note that when you do that, you are taking L&R channels and subtracting them, when you take L&R channels and add them you get mono.  Subtra...
It has returned
I recently purchased three new phono cartridges and of the three I found the Audio Technica - VM760SLC Dual MM Phono Cartridge at $650 is truly an awesome cartridge.    Detail, clarity, image, smoothness, articulate highs without hardness, truly a...
Turn Table Cable Length
It really depends on the cartridge and how much capacitance it can tolerate.   Grado cartridges can typically tolerate a lot more capacitance than others.   Yes, getting a second preamp next to the tonearm and then running a long cable from its ou...
Best ultrasonic lp cleaner in 2020 and what surfactant best?
@craig Nice review, thanks!   I might have to spring for one.
Dedicated line questions...
Speaking of the  Decware ZLC - I see it has line capacitors from line to earth on the secondary side.   This negates the concept of "clean grounds" or "quiet grounds" that some manufacturers use, noting that others, such as Decware, do not follow...
Dedicated line questions...
@jea48  I see, thanks for the clarification.
