Viva, no longer a fan Would some one please tell me what is wrong with finding a repair shop and just going there. I don't get it. Maybe they would rather spend their time helping their customers.
Last CD player? Well keep in mind the Bricasti revels nuances in the music is not forward or abrupt as so many players and DAC's. Don't know your speakers. Mine are extremely reveling without being forward, thin and bright. If your speakers are not on the transpa...
Search for miracle integrated I revisited you post and looked at your power requirements which are pretty high for a not real expensive integrated. I would consider speakers that require less power, that usually means they have a crossover that doesn't suck the music right out...
Experience with Tannoy Westminster Royal Gold Reference I should have mentioned that I have used the Sophia Electric mono blocks with the Tannoy Kensington's. Sounded good to my ears. My ears are not as good as they were when I first got married. I could hear my wife call me from the second floor when ...
Viva, no longer a fan Curious what the expectations would be if you sent a used piece of gear to the manufacture and he told you it had been modified and he would have to restore it to original and then do the work. I have taken my car into another dealer in another st...
Last CD player? Paleo Another piece of gear that I am using with Bricasti is the Melco N 1. It has 2 terabytes of storage plus you add more external. It is made by a company called Buffalo out of Japan. It only costs 2K usd and rather then a transport Buffalo mak...
Experience with Tannoy Westminster Royal Gold Reference I don't think it would be wise to spend lots of money on amplifiers for speakers that you are not sure you like. Here is a review on the Sophia Electric 300B amplifiers paired with a pair of the large Tannoy's. Not sure you could do much better fo...
Help, my system sounds lifeless! I would not spend money on room treatments. Wait till you purchase speakers and see how the room responds to them. Over the years I have made my own treatments. Recently I ordered a heavy 28 oz fabric and installed curtains behind my system. Prev...
Help, my system sounds lifeless! Those Tannoy DC 8T's are very nice speakers. Lots of emotion. The cabinets are plywood so they don't suck the life out of the music. Plus you can drive them with an inexpensive 300B amplifier for a rich midrange. The DC 8T's were preferred over th...
Experience with Tannoy Westminster Royal Gold Reference There has been good feedback using Sophia Electric 300B amplifiers. The life they bring to the speakers is in the midrange.
Need Suggestions for speakers up to $15K new/used If you are looking for a world class speaker you can take a listen at AAudio Imports. He is down near Parker Colorado. Great listening room.Loads of emotion.
Last CD player? I would recommend a DAC. Bricasti is very high end and they take very good care of their customers, meaning very very inexpensive upgrades as well as service. Use your Meridian as a transport. They work you way into a storage/server, on which you ...
Viva, no longer a fan Consider this. A customer purchases a product from the dealer and would like to upgrade it. The dealer and manufacture would have an interest in maintaining that customer relationship by providing that services at a very "reasonable price." That i...
Viva, no longer a fan What is the big deal.......( Jerry ) find someone who works on tube amps and order the upgrades to be installed by them....I don't get it. You buy a piece of gear used and expect royal treatment from an over seas manufacture. Try taking a used iPh...
Search for miracle integrated I really like the Sophia Electric integrated. EL 34 tubes. Not the power that you would like but if you can get a speaker that doesn't use those music sucking crossovers you might be in audio heaven. |
