What is the best tonearm for a SOTA Nova turntable?
Triplanar is more costly than the Primary Control Arrow fyi, but is also a good one :) As far as phono goes its always worth trying when there is an easy return but I would keep the allnic around to compare. Not sure the PS Audio would be a hands...
What is the best tonearm for a SOTA Nova turntable?
Primary Control ( Netherlands ) is making some amazing tonearms.  Allnic 1201 is very good for its cost, however is a weak link IMHO.
What is the “World’s Best Cartridge”?
Server farms are able to store stuff at a fraction of the cost and energy of manufacturing and distributing physical media. One of the many things driving their build. Finally the distraction of forests for paper… oil for plastic disks is reduced...
Does a turntable make a DRAMATIC difference?
I know the RP3 pretty well. Don't know what your mods did, but I do know the RP3 is not even close to higher tables. Spending on the turntable and the phono both can be harder to justify versus say a cart change but it all matters...
Does a turntable make a DRAMATIC difference?
A better turntable / arm ( and well sited rack wise ) WILL make a major difference. You might want to quantify 'major bucks' but it will be costly as compared to an RP3.
Analog Upgrade itch
@eddiechanghk are you looking for two inputs for a specific scenario or to be future proof'? Just curious... I would also consider a good and modern direct drive table, such as from Brinkmann, STST*, Gran Prix etc For phono it could be you use a...
What is the “World’s Best Cartridge”?
@rauliruegas you have made a comparison of dsp for visual and dsp for audio as if they correlate directly in terms of their perceptibility. Do you know this to be the case? ( earlier you mentioned not being very familiar with audio recording, so i...

What wire did you choose?
Vinyl record grading
Grading is about your reputation and buyer expectations. Personally I would rather have ugly records that sound great than pretty ones that sound horrible ( common ).
VAS (Steven Leung) cartridge repair/retipping service?

Vinyl goes green!
Back when I was in vinyl mastering ( 20 years ago ) I had some one off test records a guy in Germany pressed from a hemp plastic. So this conversation is not new. Longevity, sq, and interest are all pretty unknown. Cool ideas anyway...
A comparable phono preamp
I would need to spend 10 to 12000 and would rather spend that on better interconnects and speakers. Hmm, better cabling obviously makes a difference BUT strongly feel that a primary upgrade ( table /arm /cart / phono ) will be a better investme...
Aidas Durawood Rainbow Cartridge "Review"
@macg19 Glad you are finding pleasure in its performance :)
cartridge retipping
Not sure if they have a lot of time for outside repairs, but Aidas Cartridges Lithuania does coil repairs to their own carts ( just had one done ). I can ask them on a case by case basis. Very fair pricing. Solypsa
TurnTable recommendation with dual arms - up to $20K used
STST Motus DQ can be ordered in a two arm plinth and with two very good arms will still be way under $20k. This is for all new. Disclosure: I am the STST dealer in NA, but you did invite sellers :) Hand made direct drive from Germany, very mature...
