What Song Reminds You of Your First Love?
"Driving in my car" by NRBQ. A shame they only really remained a local band.
The Physics of Electricity
So you see the need to reply to a question that's been beaten to pulp rather than just pass it by.OK, makes sense
The Physics of Electricity
So Elizabeth, you've deemed that this is either a Troll, or at least a trollish question. It seems fairly reasonable and honest question to me. Can YOU explain in common parlance or techniocal terms the difference" - or is it just easier to use it ...
What is inside a sound bar?
Unsound - maybe it's a substitute for a 5.1 system for those people who don't have room or interest, and have other things to do like read a book, play with their kids, help someone out, build something or whatever, rather than obsess about which ...
Mapeshade cable lifts or any cable lifts?
"And just because YOU can't hear worth a damn*, does not mean no one else can.*(or have equipment with enough subtlies to allow one to hear the difference)"Ah yes, the ultimate audio put-down. "Just because you can't hear some nonsense tweak, it m...
A New Believer
"And if someone wants to try and understand the science that goes into designing cables, better call Jim Aud from Purist or Stealth people. They would fill your head with this stuff in no time."Not that they would have any vested interest in tryin...
Band with highest success/talent ratio?
Sorry Bojack, Nicks' voice is far from unique, and her limited skills and range shows in song after song. After the other gal left, all that was heard was Nick's insipid warbling and the band, became, well, nothing. Having some flowing bedsheet ar...
Band with highest success/talent ratio?

Which hdtv would you recommend and why?
Oh yeah - besides many of the good points here regarding ambient light, LCD / LED's are not so good off axis as the plasma's.If you're going to be milling around while watching versus having a dedicated position to watch, the plasma's have an adva...
Which hdtv would you recommend and why?
I now have 2 Samsung LED's which are outrageous. Check them out for certain before you make a final decision.I first went with a Pioneer Plasma which was a great set, but I note that you're in Mobile - I'm in south Florida, and the amount of heat ...
need something to replace built in LCDTV speakers?
I have a couple Samsung LED's that also suffers from atrocious speakers.I've have the Soundbar on one TV, but on the other I use a decent computer speaker set up, and it sounds decent - better than the bar anyway.
We Need An Audiophile TV Channel
So the masses can be exposed to the absurdity of $5,000 power cables, clever clocks, nonsense arguments against double blind testing, cable break-in and the like?Better to keep the nonsense within a group that drinks deeply of the Kool aid.
Is HDMI worth the upgrade?
The low prices for the older non-HDMI units obviously directly reflects their desirablility for a good reason.Pass through of video upconverting, digital switching and a multitude of other features make them worth having.Yes, you can go with an ol...
