New classe delta preamp and classe stereo amp?
I own the Delta monos and the older mode ampsl.  Love them both.  I drive my Wilson Alexx V's with the Delta's. Fan noise is a myth.  Very reliable.  I will say when my HVAC system comes on I can hear that.  Highly recommended.
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HATE FOR THE HIGH END GEAR ON AUDIO GEAR?
@jl35 That assumes markets are efficient. High-end audio is the poster child of inefficient markets! That is what this and other similar threads should focus on.  Its not how much we have to pay for a particular piece of gear rather do we get what...
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HATE FOR THE HIGH END GEAR ON AUDIO GEAR?
"We Have Met the Enemy and He is Us"
"Diminishing Returns"
High audio is an addiction where you "think" more is better. Everyone has a point of audio satisfaction that maximizes their enjoyment.  Spending more will not necessarily increase that enjoyment.  The industry is designed to instill want and diss...
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH HATE FOR THE HIGH END GEAR ON AUDIO GEAR?
What I'm looking for is value at every price point.  Value is individually determined.  What I don't like is that I can't often find the most value within each price point because the market is inefficient for hifi products.  Thus I end up guessin...
Speaker placement Quandary
Ok just purchased Opus 3 as a download.  Can you steer me to the best tract for soundstage depth.  I see 17 tracks.  Is there more than one disc?  Thanks
Speaker placement Quandary
This is a great thread. I have been obsessing with my speakers distance from the front wall. They are out about 4"9". I get great soundstage width and tons of imaging but depth is still lacking. I think next I will tweak toe-in to see if that help...
New Speaker, Wilson MAXX 3, Alexandria series 1, Alexia series 1, YG sonja models
@deep_333 Would it mot be easier to just say your biased against Wilson Audio?Or a least come up with a rational reason. What drew me to Wilson Audio was hearing the MAX 3, a wonderful speaker. I owned the Alexia 1 for nine years. A truly extraor...
Have you found your "End-Game" speakers yet? I have. And it feels so good!!!
@linnvolk "Since I am not twenty years younger (I am 61), I would rather spend the time and energy I have left on woodworking projects and travel, rather than amassing lots of gear that will eventually be a burden to my son after I move on. AN...
Speakers 10 years old or older that can compete with todays best,
I recently replaced my 9 year old Wilson Alexia 1's.  I replaced them with the Alexx V's so not an apples too apples comparison.  As I've said in an earlier post I felt the Alexia's held up well and were 70% of the Alexx V's especially in the mids...

Maybe a better way to ask this might be;  If you won the lottery and found out you would die in 6 months what speaker would you buy?
Was the upgrade from Alexia 1 to Alexx V worth it?
@ozzy Thanks and so true!  I did conclude you can't take it with you and I'd rather spend my own money while I can and let the next generation figure out how to earn their own!

An inspiring Youtube video.  His dedication to this hobby and his willingness to "rollup his sleeves" so as to be part of it was amazing.  My best to you and your family.

AR2a Acoustic Research AR3a Acoustic Research Polk Audio ? B&W 802 Verity Parsifal Wilson Audio Alexia 1 Magico A-5 Wilson Audio Alexx V Done
Am I broken? Am I stuck? Do I have to return my audiophile card now?
@steakster The Wilson are more Dynamic and imaging is more 3-D  (holigraphic) while the Magico has a smoother overall presentation with a more even tonal quality if that makes sense. Very sweet highs and mids.
