...bookshelf speakers that sound good at low volume...
Triangle monitors image well and are beautifully transparent at low volumes
Apparently new artist don't even know what a melody is and drum machines suck
"Music today, in general, is crap. "Says every generation. Music changes. You get left behind.
Why so many Hegel's for sale?
And yet it's hard to find a Hegel 160 for sale. Those are almost always keepers
Conrad Johnson and Herron comparisons
I live near Keith's workshop and will be talking with him soon about auditioning a phono pre. I've never heard Herrons before, but can't find a single negative thing on this or any other forum
What Combinations of Components Have You Put Together That Sound Good?
Pathos Classic Mk3 integrated with Spatial M3 Turbo's. Smooth projection with just the right amount of bite.

Your favorite Small Apartment Speakers
+ whatever on the Reference 3A de Capos
Dutch & Dutch 8c Loudspeakers
Can you run XLR's from your Oppo into the monitors? Each has a single XLR connector for input.
Perfect sound Now what?
Travel so much I'd rarely have time to listen to my perfect system.
Increased interest in my Audio system during the fall
Yes. During spring and summer I tend to feel guilty if I spend evening/sunset hours inside listening when I could be outside. Winter, when it gets dark at 5, is impetus to do a lot more guilt free listening while I grade essays.
"Bridge Over Trouble Water" sounds artificial
Probably because the song sucks in the first place. But YMMV
Stream Qobuz on Oppo BDP105
I stream it through my Oppo from my phone using the Opp's front HDMI port. Sounds fantastic.
700.00 speakers new or used
+1 For the Maggie LRS or a good used pair of 1.6's. Maggies are never fatiguing. Though they do benefit from a lot of power.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Jean-Luc Ponty - The Gift of Time.  Unsealed 1987 pressing.
Crutchfield's Speaker Compare
@luciano33 Yeah, great tool. And despite all the immediate naysaying, thanks for sharing.
