Sjofen The Clue speakers
Then again, any speaker that demands THAT much specificity and fussiness in regards to placement and context seems a bit short-sighted.
Sjofen The Clue speakers
The Stereophile reviewer in question admitted in his review that this was one of his first (if not the first) speaker review he has done. Sofjan's people lashed out in their rebuttal at the end of the issue, pointing out much of everything discuss...
An interesting shift of perspective
"Simao, science and tech ARE training, not education."There; corrected. Respectfully and vehemently disagree.
An interesting shift of perspective
Actually, no. Most Rush fans who are on forums tend to be highly educated, mostly in tech and science and teaching fields. They tend to be 35-50 with outliers on either side of the range. However, I think that forum thread goes to show that even s...
An interesting shift of perspective
No, you're not. "Audiophile" is a relative term, I guess. Much like "good music".
REFERENCE 3 A SPEAKERS
I've had both Triangle Celius and Titus, and now have the de Capo BE (I installed the beryllium tweeters after talking with Tash). The Triangles in memory seemed more transparent, more in-front; the de Capo's have much more presence and bloom. Bot...
Can't decide on Integrated Amp - Please Help
Yes, LSA Statement is incredible. About $3500 new, but you can find used now and then here. Mine is powerful, clear, transparent, and vivid. Easily bested my Audio research VS-115 I had a while ago. And you can't go wrong with Ayre.
Mobile Fidelity Surface Noise
I only have two MoFi pressings - 10000 Maniacs "In My Tribe" and Tears For Fears "Seeds of Love" - and I'm underwhelmed by both. Both sound is thin and tinny. Admittedly, I have only a Pro-ject 5.1SE and a Sumiko Blue Point cartridge, but I would ...
If I like Totem will I like LSA?
I've owned Totem Arros and Hawks and have listened to a pair of LSA-2 a few months ago. I remember the Totems being all that Totems are: full, warm, enveloping. Yet the LSA-2 Sigs were simply spectacular; they projected an incredible soundstage an...
Bel Canto DAC/Rotel 1072 question
I will. I'm taking the Rotel in tomorrow for evaluation and repair.
Bel Canto DAC/Rotel 1072 question
OR - do I just bail on the whole cd playback avenue and invest in a good music server?
Bel Canto DAC/Rotel 1072 question
I'd like to keep the 1072. But for what I paid for it several years ago ($200), is it worth the shipping and repair costs - whatever they may be?
Most overrated audio manufacturers?
Something's worth whatever the buyer pays for it, right? And something's worth whatever joy the listener gets out of it. Are Bose overrated? Not really. For millions of Americans, they represent a comfortable level of fidelity for what they cost. ...
is buying used Mcintosh equipment online bad idea?
As Audio Classics is in Vestal, NY, I'm not surprised they do most of their business with Mac - which is headquartered in Binghampton, NY, about five minutes away. If you like the Mac a lot, call up either Mac itself or Audio Classics and see what...
Need HDMI Cable Recommendations ?
Is there a really a difference in HDMI? I mean, from CNET (as Mgattmch posted):"First off, cheap cables will produce the exact same picture and sound quality as expensive cables. Check out our HDMI cable trilogy: " Why all HDMI cables are the same...
