Why a "digital" coax cable?
In response to "Drubin's) question, "Rwwear" answered the question correctly.
Why a "digital" coax cable?
While this doesn't really answer your question, I have discovered that there sre some cd's a friend of mine has made for me that won't play back if I use a digital cable. So I run a digital cable, and additional regular cables into another input t...
Can't live without Audiogon for even ONE day
I believe it is 48 hrs for max response, otherwise it will post.(at least that's what they just told me in receiving feedback) Can you live without Audiogon every other day?Alan
ADS tribute website?
I'm still an ADS fan, having owned/still own several pairs of their great speakers! I would like to know of such a thing as you suggest, so I will watch this forum question intently!
Animal damage to system
Cats! Aren't they great! Mine has this cable/power cord fetish, also. I have replaced every lamp cord going to lights, any and every cable that can be chewed has been--it's gotten so bad that I've had to put the cables inside foam insulation wraps...
Why so many "newer" Mac's for sale?
Thanks guys for the response, especially Mimberman, who said it all!AlanSid42
Andre Rieu :The Flying Dutchman
His "Tuscany" dvd is fantastic!!! I also saw the Flying Dutchman, and Tuscany beats it hands down. La Vie Est Belle is also great, done in Berlin. In a seperate vein, check out Russell Watson's dvd, done in New Zealand. This guy is superb! I have a...
whats the biggest mistake you made?
I suppose we've all sold gear, only to realize what a dumb idea it was to sell it. For me, it was a Mac MC7200 amp, and it wasn't gone a week and I could've kicked myself. I have since replaced that amp with another 7200, but it cost me some bucks...
ADS L-980s
Beemer (Paul) is correct; ADS used 1530's, 1590's, and B&W 801F's. I posed the question in a letter to Jack Renner as to why they used so many speakers. I have in my possesion an informative letter from him, stating that they preferred the 153...
New to Opera, have some questions
Ellery911 is right, it is better to see an opera than just listen to one. I got into opera via laserdisc, and I got hooked. Now have some on dvd, but find I never listen to my opera cd's anymore. If you want to try a gorgeous dvd, try the operetta...
McIntosh MC2002 Power Amp
I just dug out a picture of the amp, and let me make a correction. Under the meters it says "200/200 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier" in green lighting, at the upper right hand corner it says "McIntosh" and under that, "MC 2002", all in green lighting...
McIntosh MC2002 Power Amp
I can't answer your integrating question, but I have owned a pair of these amps in bygone years (now have a MC7200-same amp, but better) and the meters light up, the on/off switch is in red lighting, and the lettering "MC2002 Amplifier" also light...
What is meant by the term "B stock"?
Thanks to all of you for your response. Although the question still begs to be answered, should it be disclosed to a buyer that the unit was originally a B stock item? In my case, the original box says "B Stock" on all four sides, but one wouldn't...
Autoformer tech info is desired...
This would be a good question to ask of McIntosh, since they seem to use a lot of these in their amps.
How to add to my 2-chanl int. amp for home theater
Why don't you check out Yamaha's DSP-A1 Integrated amp? It's a few years old, has fantastic sound, and will do everything you need. Believe me, I have 2 of them, and they are ever bit the equal of my McIntosh separates. I've tried the route you wa...
