Why has audio become so specilized over the years? Amen, Stanwal!
Saw Emmylou Harris last night. I saw her years ago (early 90's) at the Concord Pavillion in Concord, CA, back when she had "The Hot Band". She was fantastic and so was the band. I'm not so much into the acoustic stuff she does now, but she still is great!
French Doors You don't sound like you're into construction, so definitely hire a good contractor. He will re-frame your opening to the correct door size, and then fill in the area with drywall. Depending on your wall finishes, he will match the existing look. ...
mcintosh owners - need your help Instead of the 2002, try the MC7200, which is a non-autoformer amp, and a good one. I've owned them both, still own the 7200.
Are you an Audiophile? Theo, you may not be an "audiophile", but you can qualify for a poet!
FYI -New Connie Smith I received Connie's new cd today, and it was worth the wait. Track #8 is worth the price of admission alone. Nice to hear some new songs by her.
Mcintosh MA-6500 OR Mc-162 amp with c-15 preamp ? I agree with Rwwear, I think the info you were given is suspect. His analogy makes sense. The question should be, do I have the room for seperates, or should I stick with a single unit. The seperates give you more flexibility, in that you can chan...
Mcintosh MA-6500 OR Mc-162 amp with c-15 preamp ? I don't know where you got your info on the C15, but it isn't a piece of junk as you suggest. I've owned one, and it is a good unit and affordable. As far as I know, Clarion's ownership of Mac didn't diminish their product at all. In fact, Carion ...
Mcintosh C 220 pre amp tube life.... Give Chuch Hinton a call at McIntosh, or get on their site and email your question to him. A very helpful guy.
Best travel destinations for audiophiles For me, I'd like to go back East in the Fall and see the colors of the trees, then a tour of the mcIntosh factory in Binghamton N.Y.
FYI -New Connie Smith Connie's new cd is available 8/23 on Amazon. I just ordered one, after listening to samples of the cuts. Great singer, from the days when country music was country, not the rock with a twang we have served up today. Thanks for the heads up on the cd.
reliable changer mechanism needed My story is similar to Shadorne's, I have 4 Sony universal 5-disc players, and have never had a single problem with any of them for about the same amount of time and used daily. I have had several more expensive players in the past, Denon 2900, Mc...
Glass v.s. Plastic Toslink Go over to AudioKarma, and read some of the discussion on glass vs. plastic Toslink, and you might come away with a different opinion, and save yourself some money.
MciIntosh Amp/Preamp match Go back and read your previous thread, wherein you basically asked the same question. Both responders gave you good advice, I think. The big question if it were me would be, do you want/need remote control? That pretty much eliminates some of the ...
Certified Guitar Player Say, Chet, are you doing your practicing on a harp lately? Do they have guitars in heaven? And for you, Dave, yes, Chet was a great player. One of my favorite cd's is "Chester and Lester", where he played and joked around with Les Paul. Bothe were ... |
