Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
Hi Theaudiotweak, I see you are the current winning bidder of a CLC. Please let us know what you think of it. Thanks, Sherod
Upgrading the McCormack UDP-1? Steve?
I recently talked with a McCormack dealer, who told me that because of lack of manpower at McCormack along with backlogs for the new UDP-1 Deluxe version, the upgrades won't be available until April; cost to upgrade shipping directly to factory b...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
Guido, I can just hear your daughter right now saying, " Oh, Daddy. You're so silly!"
DCCA PC stiffness?
I would think that this question would best be answered by Don, the designer, himself. I have read that certain components sound better with minimal or no shielding,i.e. tube amps. But isn't the sheilding supposed to keep out the RFI amd EMI? Mig...
DCCA PC stiffness?
I second everything Bigkidz and Scifi said, only I haven't had the opportunity to try the new 2006 models. I have one Powerwave II and one Reference for now.
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
I dunno, but speculating, maybe the reason Mr. Kait can't or won't explain the make-up of the CLC is from a marketing standpoint. Just the tiniest bit of information might have a slew of manufacturers coming out with their own versions of the clo...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
Yes Guido, Wellfed and Mr. Kait are one and the same. It's the magic of the CLC,i.e Clever Little Clone. Once you have been subjected to x-amount of hours with the clock, the listener actually becomes a clone of the designer.
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
I have read the testimonials where the sound improves as you add another CLC to the room. Is there a point of diminishing return for this thing, or maybe once you get to 50 units in the room, you are actually listening to the same song today, but...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
I am curious if you, Wellfed, have done the old A-B blind comparison, where someone takes the CLC outside the house and brings it back in without your knowledge. Just to make sure that there's nothing subconsciously going on.
Audioparts Reference power cables
The inexpensive MAS Black interconnect($45.00, no longer made) are IMHO the best value CD player interconnects ever made. I have bought all that I can find and currently have a set on my CD player in my bedroom and have a set in my Dad's and siste...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
I think that there should be one stipulation with this bet between Wellfed and Audioari1. When the aftermarket power cord is in the system, the Clever Lil' Clock should be in the room. When the generic cord is in, the clock should be removed from ...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
Elizabeth, Have you had a chance to actually audition the Clever Little Clock? If not, how can you be so certain that it doesn't do what the manufacturer claims? Until certain individuals sailed around the world, there were a majority of people wh...
Clever Little Clock - high-end audio insanity?
Wow! Very interesting thread. What started out as a thread regarding the Cute Lil' Clock turned into a power cord contest. I haven't tried the clock, but I just might someday. With a money-back guarantee, there's nothing much to lose but a bit of ...
Power Cord for Audio Refinement Integrated?
The Audio Refinement Complete improves considerably with a better aftermarket power cord. I have had one in my bedroom system for 3 years now. Depending on your associated components and taste, the best for me have been DCCA Powerwave, Shunyata Si...
Dampening inside power cord connectors?
If it is indeed Fun Tack, would this material be a good material for providing a dampening effect for the connector. Any electrician techs who can say that adding a dampening material inside a power cord's connectors will make the cord sound better?
