Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier
Grant, I'm sure that if you wanted to try a version of the TP 2.0 preamp Joseph would be happy to include a tape loop. Contact Victor at Vcomerchero@aol.com.
The most emotional amp out there?
By the way, the most emotional amp I've ever listened to is my refurbished 1959 Pilot 402 receiver. Something magical about the sound that I can't quite put into words.
Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier
Mine is the n version which has the added noise filter on the power supply and the upgraded Hovland caps. Victor tried to talk me into the balanced mode, but I decided to hold off on that as my monoblocs are unbalanced. I did upgrade the e88cc tu...

Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier
I too am very pleased with the Tp 2.0 preamp. Joseph Chow is extremely gifted. I have only had the preamp for a little over two weeks, but each day it seems to get better. The clarity, transparency, dynamics, harmonics, tonal balance,timbre,sounds...
Review: BMI Orca Mark 2 Power cord
Ozzy, I was wondering if the BMI Orca is still on your Sony Cdp? I never read the Stereophile review of the Sony, but did they use the BMI Orca on it as well for their review?
sonic signature of Pure Note Paragon Question
Hello Brainwater, I'm a year late on this archived thread, but how did the Paragon interconnects end up comparing to the Valhalla? Did you keep the Paragons in your system?
BlackSand PC question
Zybar, I'd like to get your impressions of the Black Sand vs. VH Airsine when you have the time. Thanks.
Does anyone have the new VAC Phi 300 amplifier?
Congratulations Vac_man. I see that you sold your VAC Ren 70/70. I know it's probably a little early yet to give us a status on your new Phi 300, but a quick report on its sound would be nice. Assuming all else is the same in your system, do you h...
vintage integrated
The scratchy volume means the pot is probably dirty. If you're a little technically savvy, you can open it up,( always remember to unplug the unit first) spray all the pots, including tone controls with a good electronic contact cleaner. If not, t...
BlackSand PC question
Mdconnelly, I seem to remember that you tried one of DCCA cords on your DNA-500. Did you have a chance to do some comparing of it to the Black Sand Silver Reference? Also, does this Silver Reference have all silver conductors in it?
What's the oldest piece of gear in your system?
1959 Pilot 402 receiver. Waiting for return from partial restoration.
Time to sell my dvd collection?
I wonder if our current DVD players or Universal players can be upgraded to play the high-res formats without having to sell our current component/s.
El Chupacabra Cables, silver interconnects
Evita, what does SRR mean?
Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier
Yes, Grant. That's what I have read as well. There are very subtle differences between the Cca and E88CC, but the E188CC sounds way off, a bit down in volume and disjointed soundstage, almost like an out-of-phase sound. I bought these on Ebay. Too...
