Led Zeppelin Classic Records 45 series -Am I nuts?
The Deluxe Led Zeppelin remastered set released a few years ago (starting in 2014) is the best I have heard for sound quality. Drums are much clearer.
Favorite Dylan?
Oh Mercy is a favourite of mine but it is hard to have a favourite for long as so much of Bob Dylan’s work is pure genius.
Quincy Jones Interview
Thx Bdp24 for sharing I must listen more to Big Pink so far I didn’t get into them in any way even having listened extensively. Just to be clear on above post, I have nothing but total admiration for the hard working talented band of The Beatles  ...
Quincy Jones Interview
Beatles were clearly not great individual technical musicians but extremely talented song writers (especially together) with some good production talent behind them (the fifth Beatle). Nobody went to see the Beatles for the musicianship - they cou...
Better "Noise Cancelling" Headphones for Air Travel?
The best IEM is the Shure SE846. It is better than anything else for your application. Forget about cancellation nonsense and enjoy 37dB noise reduction with the memory phone buds.
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic
Just calling a spade a spade or do you deny that this thread is purely promotional in nature on your part. You even admitted you get commission.
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic
This blatant promotional advertising thread is like the energizer bunny. It just keeps going and going and going. Over 1000 posts....on and on and on. 100% commission sales requires some heavy promotional work I guess. TC is to Audiogon as exercis...
Sister's wants music system without the hassles!
Doesn’t want complicated but a Vinyl girl. That makes no sense. Vinyl is not plug and play. A PC with a Tidal streaming account and a pair of active speakers directly connected is much simpler.
Waiting on 802D3 to arrive -- Will I need a sub?
My mistake - the plot I linked is the original 802D. Your D3 measures much better. It doesn’t need a sub. Room gain should be enough to give you near flat response down to 30Hz.
Waiting on 802D3 to arrive -- Will I need a sub?
If anything you are going to have a challenge to tame the 60Hz resonance peak of +7dB in the bass. A sub may be the least of your problems.https://www.stereophile.com/images/archivesart/1205802fig4.jpg

Tom Petty: It was an "accidental" OD
+1 @slaw Wake Up a Time  is another song that really speaks for me.  He definitely could capture complex emotions and paint those feelings in music and words. Not a great voice but his expressive intonation carried feeling so well. I recommend the...
Greatest Rock Drummers
Stewart Copeland Sting wrote great melodies and lyrics and Andy was a brilliant rhythm and lead guitarist but Copeland is what actually made the Police really interesting vs everything else at the time. I remember hearing Message in a Bottle for t...
Quincy Jones Interview
@czarivey How can you deny something so obvious? Michael Jackson was a great performer but his work is heavily influenced (lifted) from othersJust listen to Donna Summers work at that time (also produced by Quincy). Michael Jackson lifted stuff fr...
