Male audiophile seeking Female audiophil
Hey Wilford, me too. NOT!!! Reasons above already cited for the most part. I like to chill and listen to my music with my eyes closed and be alone. The chicks I end up with generally prefer dancing to my music, but that's fine my me. That leads to...
Rock and Roll Speakers
Kelton, I too love rock and a bit of jazz and blues. I'm using Aerial 10Ts with Krell amps (cast). I love it, and it definitely fulfills my hard rock desires which sound similar to yours. I've gone the monitor and sub route. The 10Ts offer the poi...
Aerial 10 T and EAD Poermaster 1000 ?
Well, one thing's for certain, those of us with 10Ts are very lucky indeed! Gee Weiserb I have heard them with ARC tubes at 200 per side. It was very nice, and I didn't listen to them critically enough to compare them to my Krell. Still we're all ...
Burn-in time Vs. Getting used to a sound
For those who do not believe that there is such a thing as break-in or burn-in, this is not about an opinion. There is a physical (as in "physics") explanation for it. It has to do with alignment of protons and electrons in an object conducting el...
Neutrik XLR to RCA Adapters
Alexc, Markertek.com as noted above does have the adapters you're looking for. I've got no idea on their quality, however. The xlrs are Neutrik, so thats fine, but I don't recall that they spec the rcas.

Aerial 10 T and EAD Poermaster 1000 ?
I have 10Ts driven by a Krell FPB 200c. So this amp puts out tons of current. If I recall the impedance of the Aerials is 4 ohms. With the Krell, at 4 ohms it puts out 400 w/c. This level of amplification and in class A is great with the 10T. Now ...
Cable TV causing system ground problems!
Whatjd, Thanks as always.
How do I listen to stereo audio?
John, that's essentially a unity gain as I described above. As far as I know, no Levinson pre has it.
How do I listen to stereo audio?
Oh, also some prepros do have analog passthrough. But their digital bypass will not give you the best analog stereo possible. You can use what you have and follow the tape monitor method in the above post.

Cable TV causing system ground problems!
Whatjd, Are you saying that the cable from my external FM antenna to my tuner can cause some sort of problem? I haven't noticed any, even when my tuner is on while playing other sources. I also don't have any problem with cable TV of which I'm una...
Burn-in time Vs. Getting used to a sound
Well, when I put together a totally new system, I sure the hell heard it improve over time. Therefore, getting used to the sound wasn't the issue. That which takes the longest to burn in (form) are dielectrics. The two dielectrics of concern are t...
Neutrik XLR to RCA Adapters
Thanks for the info guys. I look forward to hearing about Alexc's comparison. I do need some, but I don't want to get them if they are crappy...Duh!
Help choosing digital front end.
Robert, Thanks for the suggestion. I never thought of that one. Good guess that I live in the SF Bay Area! Heh heh. I would be pleased with the Wadia 830 if I had one; it's the original poster, Blbloom, that's got one.
