What is this piece called?
Well, it definitely has a feminine shape to it so perhaps... La ring lug in either language
Iphone 13 Qobuz to McIntosh 2100 maximum lossless
There aren't any cables that have a built-in DAC. If you use a cable to connect the iPhone to the Mac you will be using the DAC inside the iPhone to convert the music from digital to analog. That will work but is not ideal for the best possible au...
Suggestions for Bluetooth device to hook up iPhone to amp
If you would rather use WiFi to avoid the data compression that happens with Bluetooth, Audioengine also has a similar unit for that, the B-Fi, at the same price. https://audioengineusa.com/shop/adapters/b-fi-multiroom-music-streamer/

Your experience/thoughts on Meadowlark speakers, esp., Kestrel, 2, hot rod. etc
When I was helping a friend buy his first system more than ten years ago I bought a used pair of the original Kestrels to go with his Marantz separates. I was really impressed with them and he still has them, I was listening to them last week duri...
reputable repair Washington state
I don't know about turntable repair specifically but I had excellent work with amp repairs done a couple of times at Audio Connection in Seattle. This quote is from their site, "We also carry many turntables and phono-cartridges and are quite adep...
Is Tidal messing up for you? Would you Choose Amazon over it?
I've used Tidal several hours a day almost since it was introduced, both at home and remotely, and have had no problems at all.
Looking for a 24/192 dac to compliment my oppo r2r setup
I'm very happy with a Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital DAC in one of my systems. It does MQA, can serve as a preamp, is reasonably priced and has received quite a few 'best of' awards from audio publications.
Looking for Blues with High Fidelity
Buddy Guy's album "Bring 'Em In" is worth having if only for the duet with Tracy Chapman of "Ain't No Sunshine."
Are these worth anything?
Try searching HIFiShark for the Sold/Expired listings for NHT speakers. It may take awhile to find the ones you're interested in, there are more than 7,000 sales recorded. Click on the "Site" label at the top of the listings to sort them by the co...
Bluesound 2i coaxial output sound quality
Agree completely with geof3 and jjww49, my combination of a Node 2i with an external Bel Canto DAC 3 sounds superb and I find the both the Bluesound OS and the Tidal Connect app very well designed and reliable.
If you’ve heard an iFi Zen stream, anything better under $1k?
I'll second geof3's mention of the importance of the OS, the human/machine interface. Both the BlueOS and the Tidal app on my iPad or iPhone are easy to understand and easy to use with my Node 2i. Any interface that you don't have to think about w...
Apple iPad music streamer
@georgew444 - I connect the Node 2i to an external DAC because while the Node does have an internal DAC, the Bel Canto DAC sounds considerably better, as it should since it cost five times what the Node 2i costs. It also is used as a preamp and DA...
Apple iPad music streamer
I use the Tidal app on an iPad Mini over WiFi to a Node 2i streamer with a coax connection to a Bel Canto Dac 3. It works flawlessly for my uses, I find the size of the iPad Mini preferable to a standard iPad since it's easy to hold in one hand wh...
Car streaming blues, ain’t marketing great
Thanks, @reubent, I should have been more clear in my caution about the potential cost of streaming while in the car. I was referring to streaming from services like Tidal, Apple Music or Spotify which would be streamed through your cellular conne...
