Best Class A Amp under $2,000 used? " Here's a pair of Aleph 2 monoblocks for $1,100"Are you sure those amps are not counterfeit or prototypes? I had most of the Aleph's and none of them looked like the ones in the pic's.
Which Budget Friendly Floorstanders Next? I had the 8's which are pretty close to what you have. I don't see any of your new choices as a step up. Would it be possible to raise your standards a bit and try for something not only different, but better sounding as well?
Audiophile quality streamer/server-in-one without a DAC. Does this exist? " I don't think that not being able to play high-res files is that a big of a deal. The promise of high-res was really cool to me but has turned out to be a great disappointment."I agree. High rez is better, but you have to invest some time and...
Repair shop in Washington State Is it just when you adjust the volume, or is it flashing constantly? It could be a feature that makes it easier to see. Do a search on youtube for the same amp. Sometimes people make videos that covers a product in detail.
Best Class A Amp under $2,000 used? Pass Aleph 0s. It has a lot of power, so it should be able to drive just about any speaker. Next to my Krell 250, the Pass was a much better sounding amp in just about every way. The Krell did bass a little better.
Bryston BDA-2 Or Yggdrasil Help I've heard both dacs and they sound OK. I you are willing to consider others, look at this one.http://www.wadia.com/en-us/products/di322In my opinion, the Wadia's in another league. It could be the last dac you'll ever buy.
After nearly 20 years, I left Magnepan and went ProAc " Any sugesstions to tighten them right would be helpful. "Get an assortment of rubber O rings from an auto parts store. If they're not sure what kind, tell them to give you the ones that go on A/C lines. Pick a size that best fits your feet and ...
Speaker experience/recommendation for CJ Classic60SE The new amp may not have quite enough power power to drive the M5's. If you don't have a big room and listen at high volumes, you'll probably be OK. If you do a lot of off axis listening, you may want to keep the M5's. If not, the Vandersteen Mod...

EMI Absorber 'Hozox' I know Arcam/dCs uses something like this to line the inside of their components. I believe Furutech does as well.If you're having an EFM problem, it should help.
Too Many Forums asking about how to improve ones system, etc. Probably 90% of audiophiles buy based on reviews. Most won't admit to it, but its easy to see. Many come here to seek conformation.
Need FLEXIBLE Power Cord . Jena Labs Ferrite would be a good choice. Well made, flexible and good sounding.
Theta Data basic transport Blue light? Its possible that light on your old one is not working. Also, if I remember correctly, ST was an option on that transport. The light may come on when you use it.
Krell HTS 7.1 vs Denon AVR-X4300H "Exactly the answer I was looking for. Thank you."I agree with that as well, with the exception of trying both preamps. I never had the 2 Krells side by side, so I just can't say.
Which is Better? Musical Fidelty A5 (used) or new Rogue Sphinx? Cable Company is a Rogue dealer. Why not have them send you a demo? |
