Tubes for Magnepan’s. I just picked up a Rogue Cronus Magnum to try with my Maggies. it does fine. Good enough that I will likely sell my 225 watt/channel SS amp.Curious about thy you would add a planar tweeter? Maybe I didn't understand what you are saying,
Magnepan 3.6R's WTF is supernal??
Amp for 1.6qr I may be selling my Anthem, which runs my 1.6s now. Great amp that never breaks a sweat.
Goldenear triton replacements To the OP...give a listen to Monitor Audios some time.
Integrated amp/speaker matching There's not a single thing that's true in your "list".
Has anybody bought or heard a Chinese knock off amplifier? The best amp I ever owned was Chinese, from a company that makes ML's stuff.
Lyngdorf with Maggies The room is very small (part of the issue) and I don't listen at high volume these days, My current amp provides 300@4 ohms...in reality not that much more than 170. Mostly the room is just really bad for sound, but it's what I have. Hence the in...

All New NAD Master M33 Integrated Amp // GAME CHANGER ?.. NAD specifies a 4 ohm output on this. That's new for them.
Appropriate Power for 1.7i's I've had a lot of Maggies over the years, including the 1.7s. I keep thinking I should "upgrade" from my Anthem integrated, but then I realize that it sounds killing and never breaks a sweat.
1.7i vs 3.5r IMO, celing height matters no matter what the speaker. But I've mostly had 8ft ceilings and no issues.
My used Magnepan 1.6's are missing sparkly treble. Why? The fuses should never be bypassed. Asking for trouble. I hope your problem is something simple.
1.7i vs 3.5r I've had both 1.7s and IIIs. I'd go with the 3.5, assuming you have a decent size room. Maggies's true ribbon is magical.
Magnepan 1.7i with Acurus 150 watt amp You'll be fine.
