Two Type of sound and listener preference are there more? 03-10-2018 2:45pm@seaheis" They trust their ears less and gain valuable insights from measurements and white papers."I am on the detail side and I recently bought a Benchmark AHB2 amp and DAC3L so you got that assumption correct. However, I trust ...
Two Type of sound and listener preference are there more? You ask this { Are there more then this as two distincly different camps?} and end with this { Please discuss, you can cite examples of products or systems but keep to the topic of sound and nothing else.} so whats this all about then? Also poster...
Two Type of sound and listener preference are there more? Trying to record that moment and mix it and replay that through an amplified system can never be exactly the same. IE your position to the live music, backround noise, mics, recording equip, ect. I am an audio engineer and mix live music. And don’t...
Two Type of sound and listener preference are there more? Type One: Detail, clarity, soundstage, the high resolution/accuracy camp. People who fall into this camp are trying to reproduce the absolute sound and use live music as their guide.Live music in the recording studio or live music in a venue? For ...
Two Type of sound and listener preference are there more? I would say camp 1 is the analytical crowd that is left brain dominate. These are your engineers, doctors, and tech professionals. They like their music colored to the analytical/detailed side. They believe that this sound signature is neutral. Th...
Open Baffle. Why are they mostly limited to DIY? thanks for the suggestion on the gtaudioworks. Those look like Magnepan killers. Yesterday I received some Betsy open baffle speakers made by caintuck audio from an Agon seller and I can't stop listening to them. They are laughably good for the mo...
ELAC - Adante... what’s the verdict? I'm not surprised at all jayctoy. My cable risers are the backbone of my system. ;-)
Subwoofer: Watts or Brand Name? The REL is a lot easier to blend if you are running your mains full range. The SVS are a great choice if you are using some type of DSP or bass management, as they are tougher to blend. Those SVS sledge amps are very powerful, but that power must ...
ELAC - Adante... what’s the verdict? In the testing, it was noted the speaker demonstrating a flare at 5-6khz, which would certainly correlate with what has mentioned. The LS50 is also a very extended design and does display an elevated treble response. But if comparing the LS50 and ...
ELAC - Adante... what’s the verdict? Coaxial drivers are very rare birds in hifi. My guess is that they are very difficult to get right. They are going to image better of course, but at the expense of what?
bmr philharmonic That is an incredible design. Big RAAL, open planar midrange, and a transmission line for bass. An end game speaker for only $3500.
bmr philharmonic $1350 for this speaker. http://www.philharmonicaudio.com/BMR%20Philharmonitor.htmlIf someone knows of higher quality drivers for the price, I’m all ears.
bmr philharmonic The company is basically just Dennis Murphy. He sells his speakers for basically no mark up. I hope that he is okay. He designs some of the crossovers for Salk Sound and Salk builds some of his cabinets. He is a very generous person.
ELAC - Adante... what’s the verdict? If memory serves, AJ swapped out the metal dome tweeter that was in the show prototype.
ELAC - Adante... what’s the verdict? OK, so let's ditch the Elac and go back to thinking about some of the Ryan floorstanders as a possible alternative. The Ryan 610 is about the same size. Great bass, also a bit analytical...not a coax though so imaging won’t be as good. I would say ... |
