Tekton Impact Monitors
@giantsalami - I'm still breaking them in (those huge caps are going to take awhile) but I've actually turned my subs down a little after the upgrade. The bass is not only tighter but even more textured than the stock version.

In hopes of keeping this thread alive I just want everyone to know @grannyring (Bill) upgraded the crossovers in my Impact Monitors for me. I’ve included a picture of a completed crossover in my system photos. He got the Jupiter VT caps to fit ins...

@pro-audio - I have the Impact Monitors and use Rythmik subwoofers. Tekton's tweeter array is very special and if you want to control the bass output, using separate subs is a great way to go. However, the real reason I'm chiming-in is because abo...

@mac48025 - Have to agree with you on the IsoAcoustics footers. I got the Iso-Pucks for my Impact Monitors and they improved all aspects of sound quality. Just today, I ordered a set for my subs. Great bang for the buck!Scott

Based on discussions on the Double Impact thread I tried some Iso-Pucks (made by IsoAcoustics) under my Impact Monitors. The improvement in sound quality was immediately noticeable! They are very well made and reasonably priced at $120 for a set o...

@stfoth - Thanks for your "First $.02"!  Great line: "Maybe like an Omega RS5-based speaker and a smaller, older model Wilson had a bastard child. So far, glad I caved and ordered them."  Ha,ha but I know exactly what you mean!

@snapsc - It’s funny you ask that!  How the new Diana Krall album was recorded has been driving me crazy! At times, her piano sits in the right channel with the keyboard running front to back.  On other cuts it stretches from the right channel all...

"BTW Aric the modification offer you made to Tom is both classy and kind IMHO." Yes, it most certainly is. +1 to Aric. Also, +1 to Charles for pointing-out the 6EM7 tube to Aric! There are still some good people left in this world!

@snapsc - For me, soundstage is one of the most impact parts of stereo playback. If your music sounds like it’s all coming from the same general area then you know it’s not right. If the Impact Monitors are set-up correctly music comes from behind...

@snapsc - The OP (corelli) had Maggie 1.7 with REL subs so check-out his posts. Seems like the main difference in the models is not the tweeter array but the bass drivers and size of cabinet. That's one of the reasons I went with powered Rythmik F...

@snapsc - We've got a thread going on the Impact Monitors which will answer your questions. Here is the link: https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/tekton-impact-monitors Bottom line: they throw a huge soundstage and will most likely compete very...

@1markr - yep I agree. Especially, about the "awesome holographic soundstage".@lula - I've been using 50hz for the crossover which sounded best for me.

Bon - yeah not surprised he liked them. To me, the Impact Monitors (especially at the current sale price) are the way to go in the current Tekton line-up. Right now, Eric’s designs seem to be in a constant state of flux so it’s good to not spend t...

FYI: The Impact Monitors are on sale for $1,750 this weekend.
