Closed back headphone recommendation I auditioned a bunch of higher end closed backed phones and ended up happy using the PSB M4U1. A real bargain for the price, plus very comfortable during long sessions. (Not so with the NADs also designed by Paul Barton. The Oppo 3 came out later,...

iPod Touch vs Macbook IMHE, running Audirvana+, PureMusic or Amarra will all give you better SQ than running iTunes to your dac. So I would think that the iPod Touch would functionally work, but wouldn't be close sonically. Cheers,Spencer

Searching for the ideal vintage bookshelf speakers. Honestly, this thread makes me laugh. It's like you're asking "Which old, rare, finicky sports car should I buy to drive only in bumper-to-bumper traffic at 20 mph?" Then all the discussion of the nuanced differences between the Lambo, the Ferrari...

Losing out @drpat, You say you get it, but your next statements shows that you really don't. As soon as "good conversations" ensue you need to conclude them with either: A) Here is my firm offer good for X amount of time. Ready to pay now.B) I'd like to mull...

Looking at some Devore "The Nines", Current amp is CJ CA200. Extra power can't hurt. If you love the amp, it should be fine. Devore is usually shown with tubes, but I'd guess that any CJ SS gear might be a bit towards a tubey tonal signature than many others.Nines are really nice! Cheers,Spencer |
