Need Theta Digital DSPro Gen V schematics
Perhaps Mike at Schiit Audio, who founded Theta Digital, would be able to assist. Cheers,Spencer
Subwoofer
"still most subwoofers own a slow response." So is there a commonly published measurement or some design criteria that separate the winners from losers in your opinion? Besides Duke's innovative approach mentioned above, was there a "game-changer"...
using large box dvd/cd/player as base for small tube amp
"Lowrider57 is very correct." That happens a lot around here. Cheers,Spencer
Good used Pre-Amp? Price Range $1500.00 to $2000.00
If you don't need a remote, the Herron VTSP-1A/166 sounds very nice if you find one for sale; usually ~ $1500. Given your phono stage, you're probably thinking about Audio Research, I would hope. They really made their rep on preamps. Cheers,Spencer

ricevs,Your point that both dacs should have the same mods makes sense, I will ask my friend about that. After seeing this argument between you and George. I just clicked on your profile  From a quick browse I see that every single post you've made...

A friend owns both and uses the latter solely to play DSD files since the Yggy doesn't. Yggy wins, but if you like buying from relatively unproven Chinese companies(IMHO) like Gustard, it's overall SQ is pretty great for its price. FWIW, I always ...

As a former PS dac owner, and current Schiit dac owner IMHO, there is absolutely no quality drop going from PS to Schiit. Sonics merits of every model is different and I haven't heard the Directstream Jr.  I own other PS products and have nothing ...
Static noise help please
Good job, Eddy!
Acarian Alon II verse Triangle Celeus 202?
I owned Alon IIs years ago. They are voiced with Audio Research tube gear and sound great with tube amps, big airy relaxed sound. Great value at the time, but at this point, they are old enough to possibly need drivers refoamed. Cheers,Spencer

+1 for all the raves on the Yggy. For those on a tighter budget, the newer multibit version of Schiit's Gungnir (or the old one + factory upgrade) go a long way towards the tech & sound of the Yggy at $1249. Very pleased with Schiit Audio and ...

Wow, mofi, that made my head hurt. I must have got hit with a stray grenade. Examples of all the worst of the human condition that the internet seems to magnify sometimes. But thank you for sharing; it's better that we see all sides of these messe...

Sad, but true. It a minimum, you'll want to add a subwoofer to the monitors. Big orchestral works require full range and little speakers won't get the job done. For chamber music, jazz etc. that's another story. Cheers,Spencer
