The very best sound: Direct to Disc
Chad acquired the assets of The Mastering Lab from Doug Sax, Doug practically willed it to him, it included the mastering lathes and custom tube electronics.

VAS (Steven Leung) cartridge repair/retipping service?
Don't do it. Never allow a 3rd party re-tipper to touch any cartridge lest you become the laughing stock of your peers here and on all forums where these grand poobahs of phono cartridge wisdom reside. Those proclaiming 100% positive experiences...
Is a Linn Sondek LP12/Lingo/Ekos with a Cirkus update, the last turntable I’ll ever buy?
the perpetuation of the myth that LP12s are fussy to set-up is tiring and patently false. If you can change a bike tire or fix a leaky faucet you can work on and perfectly maintain your own LP12. By design, all upgrades are very easy to install in...
Re wire a Graham arm wand
The early series Grahams (1.0 - 2.2) use a Bendix connector that Bob no longer can source. The connector has to be extracted with extreme care, if its damaged it will render your arm wand useless. To be safe i'd send it back to Bob.
Does anyone have experience with seller Kron on cartridges?
I’ve purchased two carts from Kron with no drama, Paypal takes 4.5% for international transfers not to mention the less than ideal exchange rates. if you pay by wire its probably less than the fees Kron will tack on to cover paypal. He’s legit in ...
can anyone recommend a person in LA area to pay to install a tricky Koetsu cartridge
AFAIK Jay Nakamura makes house calls, Randy Cooley has his number. Jay has been around for eons and ton of experience setting up tables/carts
Is a Lyra Kleos good with a current-mode phono preamp?
The Lino C 2.0 mates perfectly with carts that have a DCR  <10 ohms. I use my Lino with a My Sonic Lab cart that has a DCR of 1 ohm and its superb.
Add 45 RPM to an LP12
A 45 rpm adaptor available at any Linn dealer or online for around $40. It slips over the 33 rpm pulley, a rubber o-ring insures a snug fit without slippage.
LP12- Power Supply- Need education
There is, as usual, a ton of misinformation and pure ’BS’ being foisted by those who really have absolutely no clue about the sound of a well set up Linn LP12. I love this from mijostyn...’listen to a Linn platter, you will be able to pick up radi...
LP12- Power Supply- Need education
None of the power supplies mentioned here, including any of the Linn options or the VPI PSs, incorporate a feedback mechanism whereby instantaneous changes in platter speed can be sensed and corrected. You’re incorrect, both the Linn Lingo 4 and ...
