AUDIONET HUMBOLDT INTEGRATED SONIC NIRVANA !? Why buy separates? The HUMBOLDT at 135 lbs is too darn heavy. So, no thanks.
Anything SS sounds better than D'Agostino ? If you have heard D’Ag gear, it is good, but it is also one of the products that is designed for the a’phile who uses his eyes possibly more than his ears alone. Price aside, I wouldn’t consider the gear based on the looks. It looks ugly to ...

Isolation Feet for Laptop Guakus, your point is well noted. I have thought about this earlier, to use some kind of isolation for the laptop. However, the laptop is too light for most isolators to work. I have some unused Finite Elemente Ceraball and Nobsound springs but d...
Isolation Feet for Laptop My laptop has a built-in fan too but the noise is minimal. It sits close to me by my side. It has SSD instead of HDD so that might have helped a little.
Isolation Feet for Laptop I too use a laptop in my main system, no isolation as it just sits on a glass shelf. An external hard drive where music files are stored is connected to the laptop. No complaints so far. I have isolation for all my other equipment and speakers.
Gryphon Diablo 300 vs 120. Any Difference? Gryphon vs Luxman L-590AXII? Thanks for the post. I agree it's a matter of preference and taste apart from system synergy. All are good. The Diablo 300 looks like a beast at 84 lbs and I was wondering if the lighter 120 would be comparable. Mellow doesn't sound good though.
Which Integrated with Magico A3 When I was doing some research on the Gryphon Diablo 300, I found 2 owners who use Magico S3 (or the special variants of the S3) with the amp. They appear to endorse the combination.
McIntosh -- good for show, not for sound, says dealer The hilarious post by Femoore12 was just deleted. This thread makes me giggle.

McIntosh -- good for show, not for sound, says dealer Just watched the video to see what’s the fuss all about after noticing that this thread was getting very popular, 6 pages and going strong. Not much to say here but the guy in the video is hilarious. I have to admit that for some people, the hifi...
What Is So Special About Harbeth? weakest things of harbeths are these.Far away from natural drum set, cymbal shimmer, bowed bass All good observations made by existing Harbeth owners and ex-owners. I agree that the Harbeth are very good in reproducing tone and timbre of in...
Survey on Cost of Loudspeakers Supported On Townshend Seismic Isolation Podiums Thanks for all responses. It appears that most speakers installed on the Podiums cost more than $10,000, the costliest one currently costing up to $33,000.
Survey on Cost of Loudspeakers Supported On Townshend Seismic Isolation Podiums @ryder Nonsense do you see the value in isolating your speaker Yes, isolation is beneficial for speakers but I don't think folks would specifically consider the product that is being discussed here for speakers with an MSRP of say $1,000 or l...
Harbeth again…or other speakers for acoustic music? Personally I would just skip the XD and go with used M30.2 Anniversary combined with a sub which to me is best value, based on your positive experience with the 30.1. I prefer the added clarity and openness of the 30.2 to the warmer and slightly r... |
