Wireworld Platinum Starlight 8 USB
Late to the party. I recently invested in the Wireworld Platinum 8 USB. It’s the most expensive USB cable I currently have in the system and it’s marvelous. It brought a level of refinement and control to the sound which I wasn’t expecting. I hav...
Wireworld Electra 7
@jafant just to update that the Silver Electra 7 has lived up to expectations.  However, the star of the day may go to the Wireworld Platinum Starlight 8 USB which I installed yesterday. Stunned at the changes and happy.
Help with USB Cable Option
Gents, just to share my experience. The USB cable is the most neglected cable in my system although I have a pretty decent one (Tellurium Q Ultra Silver). I recently went with the Wireworld Platinum Starlight 8 and installed it in my system yester...

Luxman 509x vs Hegel H390
Congratulations on the Luxman L-509x. I don’t have experience with the Hegel but own the L-590AXII. It’s high quality in terms of sonic delivery and very good. The Luxman top models (509X and Class A 590AXII) not only sound musical but have high ...
Cables to Add Brightness
The current cables in my system are doing fine. I'm just curious if there are other cables which are capable of giving a slight boost or sparkle to the treble without going overboard.
Cables to settle brightness
There are several possibilities. Based on my limited experience cables may help fine tune the sound by reducing the brightness but the difference may not be significant enough to completely resolve the sibilance with human voice or glare in the tr...
Luxman 509x vs Hegel H390
I’m sure the Hegel is fantastic and great build quality before I get berated. Very understated look.   The Hegel’s build quality is the sole reason I scratched it off the list. The plasticky look feels cheap as it reminds me of budget NAD amps.
Luxman L-590AX
My local dealer advised that the L-590AXII is a lot better than the original 590AX mk1.
Power Cables - Stock vs. Budget
I have not tried it all. Based on my limited experience, $50 to 150 cords all sound almost the same. Minor difference. $300 to $500 is a good start as you get some good result.
Choosing an integrated for low volume listening
Any of the Luxman would be suitable as there is a Loudness feature which is provided for low level listening. When the loudness feature is enabled, the bass and treble will be boosted and this really helps with low volume listening. Having said t...
Temporary Down Sizing - Integrated Amp Recommendations
Luxman is generally considered to be better than Yamaha in both sound and build quality. The Yamaha sounds flatter with reduced detail and dynamics while the Luxman has a bolder and more engaging sound. It’s a more 3-dimensional sound with the Lux...
How good does my system have to be to realize an improvement with cables?
$200 for cables on a $500 DAC doesn’t make sense to me.   Perhaps I am in the minority. I used to have a $2,200 power cord on a $2,100 DAC, all actual price paid for 2 years. Currently I am trying a $625 power cord on the same DAC so it’s more...
High Quality Interconnects for Luxman L-590AXII
Thanks for this. I would be looking forward to your report with great anticipation. I have owned the Acoustic Zen Silver Reference II XLR many years ago but it didn't last very long in my system during that time.
Wireworld Silver or Gold Eclipse 8 - IC or Speaker Cable?
@vinylvalet currently I prefer the Acrolink cords on the amps.
