Speakers hum and buzz when rr and dbx installed??
If the DBX has a three prong power cable, try using a two prong adapter. If this does not work try another pair of patch cables and be certain that they are plugged in all of the way.
Not Enough Power???
Maybe, if you play it loud. You may be able to find another KSA-80 and have them converted to mono and have KMA-160s.
what is the best way to add remote control
A latching power switch stays in the on position if power is lost. In other words, the amp will come back on when power is restored to the recepticle.

How do you check for damaged wire in walls? HELP
It would be easy to check the wire for a short. Take your meter and set it for continuity and touch the leads to the positive and negative. It should beep if there's a short. To check for a broken wire, twist one end of the wire together and check...
Stereo system Too Bright
I agree with Photon. You will be better off with an active preamp. You may also try moving your speakers around until the sound improves.
Anything Like a Joule Electra?
(By stepping up the impedance of the load your OTL amp sees, you'll get a bit better control in the bass region and a bit better dynamics.) But then it is no longer an OTL.
