looking to match a new speaker to ARC REF75se
Some more Vandersteens if you aren't trying to blow out the windows.
Recommended integrated amplifier for upgrade
How about a PrimaLuna 400 with KT-88 tubes?
New speaker cables
Audioquest type 4 A darn good cable for the money.
New KEF KC62 Not Responding?
I'll assume the volume on the sub is not set at zero. Switch to manual with just the left channel RCAs to the sub. If that doesn't work, it might be DOA?
New KEF KC62 Not Responding?
Preamp out > LFE IN > Set sub to LFE. Try it with just left channel to LFE IN first.
How do you hook up a pair of REL T5x subs to a class d amplifier?
you can run a pair of RCA cables from your preamp to the .1/LFE input on each subwoofer.  That would be my choice.
How to make small room sound bigger
An 11 X 14 room can sound great.
Video: noise floor and tweeter hiss, what do you think?
XLR or RCA but in a lot of applications the RCA has less gain so unless you have a long run an RCA cable will help a little compared to XLRs. A 10db attenuator usually is enough but each system is different. As long as you can’t hear it from your ...

Bookshelf speakers with a tube amp?
I think my Marantz 2226 B should be the preamp then. It has that capability. You will not hear how good the Rocket88 is until it's matched with a good preamp. For the budget minded the Topping Pre90 might get you there.
Bookshelf speakers with a tube amp?
I’ve been real happy with Bluesound Node DAC Budget a preamp for your future upgrade and loudspeakers. Keep the Rocket88.
Bookshelf speakers with a tube amp?
Run the Rocket 88, I prefer to run in UL mode, especially if you are short on power. Try the 4 ohm setting. What preamp are you using?
How to tell McIntosh MC452 and MC462 difference
Front panel and top is labeled.
Frequency Response
For me 36 Hz can be low enough to not need a sub but 20Hz is a lot better on those recordings that go that low.
Intriguing inquiry, are floor-stand speakers always better than active speakers?
yet many of these powered monitors are the choice of audio engineers for studio use over passive, wonder why? Because it cuts down the clutter in the studio without the need for more electronic gear.
