everything sounded great until the upgrade 2252B OK, this is easy. The top end of the A3.2 is going to be a little softer than the 2252. Give yourself some time to adjust to the new presentation. Also work on your speaker placement. If you can make your room a little brighter with more ...
everything sounded great until the upgrade I am going to research what goes best with Musical Fidelity integrated amps. MF amps sound best with many loudspeakers. I'm going to guess but you had a solid state amp of perhaps not the best quality. I think you just need a little time to acq...
Vintage Integrated Amplifiers With Great Sound I could budget up to $3500 for something really nice. I still don't know what loudspeakers you are driving but let me throw this out there. A Musical Fidelity integrated. They will match well with most loudspeakers and have a classic appearanc...
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged. So as far as the designer is concerned, the listening part is almost academic nowadays. I think that is the way mass market audio is designed. It is designed to a cost bracket and a specification requirement. But I understand for quality audio ...
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged. So, I head over to AVS and read Amir's review the website known as ASR and Amir himself My bad, I am referring to ASR not AVS but they are both of the same ilk.

Tube noise when gain is increased, tube issue? Russ69, FWIW I think OP was referring to using his attenuator to adjust gain. At least that is how I read it. Oh, OK. I guess he is hearing tube noise when he turns up the volume and nothing is playing? Lots of questions in that case. Is this s...
Vintage Integrated Amplifiers With Great Sound What vintage integrated amps from, say the 70's-80's-90's can be found at relative bargain prices, but provide really good sound quality? Not many, what is your budget and what loudspeakers are you driving.
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged. I understand the desire, need and validity of objective inquiry... Thanx, that helps.
Speakers on carpet over concrete I use the spikes, not sure if I can hear a difference without the spikes.
Tube noise when gain is increased, tube issue? Buzzing or humming is usually from the transformer and can excite a noisy tube. If you don't need the extra gain, switch back to low gain, it is always quieter.
Seller Listing Pet Peeve It's because the back is all scratched up from failed wire hook ups. |
